Dear riders,
We have compiled several public transit changes worth knowing about, related to Jerusalem Day, which will take place today, May 14th.
This yearโs Jerusalem Day events will include, as every year, the traditional Flag March (Dance of Flags) on May 14th. As a result, road closures, traffic arrangements, and service changes in public transportation are expected.

Flag March 14.05
The march will follow its traditional route: departing from Sacher Park, passing through the city center and the Old City gates, and concluding at the Western Wall (Kotel).
The following roads will be closed starting at 15:00, and will reopen gradually as the march progresses:
City Center Area: Ben Zvi (from Ruppin to Rabin), Bezalel, King George, Agron.
Old City & Surrounding Areas: Yitzhak Kariv, Shlomo HaMelech, David HaMelech, Hativat Yerushalayim, HaTzanhanim, Hel HaHandasa, IDF Tunnel.
Additional Routes: Haim Bar-Lev (from Sachs Junction southward), Sultan Suleiman, and HaOphel Road.
Public bus lines will be diverted to alternative routes as determined by each transport company.
๐ Jerusalem Light Rail
Due to the expected arrival of thousands of participants, significant changes will occur between 16:00 and 21:00 (estimated):
No train service will be available between the Central Bus Station and Givat HaTammushat. The Light Rail will operate in two separate sections only:
North: From Neve Ya’akov to Givat HaTammushat.
South: From Hadassah Ein Kerem to the Central Bus Station.

From Givat HaMivtar to Central Bus Station: Line 68.
From Givat HaTammushat to Central Bus Station: Lines 65 and 69 (via Yirmiyahu St.).
From Givat HaTammushat to City Center & Shuk: Lines 25, 45, 66, 66a.

Traffic Disruptions: Route 436 will be closed intermittently from Mintz Junction to Har Shmuel in both directions.
