Effective Wednesday & Thursday Evenings & Overnights, October 17 & 18, 2018 From Approximately 7:00 PM Each Night Until Around 4:00 AM Each Following Morning
Pittsburgh Water & Sewer Authority (PWSA) has notified Port Authority that on the evenings and overnights of Wednesday & Thursday, October 17 & 18, 2018, the authority will perform underground inspections within the Smithfield Street Bus Lane to locate a water leak that in turn may be leaking into the subway box of Port Authority’s light rail system. Inspections and core drilling will require the closure of the Smithfield Street Bus Lane from Liberty Avenue to Sixth Avenue both evenings and overnights. Inspections and the bus lane closure will occur on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and overnights, October 17 & 18, 2018 at approximately 7:00 PM each night and will continue until around 4:00 AM each following morning.
