๐ Israel Railways: Special Schedule & Increased Service
Trains will operate on a dedicated schedule to ensure convenient access to ceremonies and celebration areas.
๐ฏ๏ธ Memorial Day and the eve of Independence Day, Tuesday, 21.4.26
A full train schedule will operate on all lines across the country, with additional service as follows:
- The route of train No. 8032, departing from Beโer Sheva Center at 10:41, will be extended. The train will terminate at Haifa Center HaShmona Station (instead of Tel Aviv Savidor Center), with additional stops at the stations of Tel Aviv University, Herzliya, and all Haifa.
- The route of train No. 8033, departing from Haifa Centre HaShmona Station at 12:03 (instead of from Tel Aviv Savidor Centre), will be extended. The train will terminate at Beโer Sheva Central, with additional stops at all Haifa stations, Herzliya, and Tel Aviv University.
Independence Day, Wednesday, 22.4.26
- Passenger trains will operate at a frequency of one train per hour on all lines, except for the Beโer Sheva NorthโDimona line, where service frequency will remain as usual.
- Continuous overnight train service (on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday) will operate between Herzliya, Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion Airport, and Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon, in both directions.

Public transportation will operate on its regular schedule.
However, during the evening, Memorial Day ceremonies will take place nationwide. Road closures and station cancellations are expected in many sectors.
Expect significant delays and reduced frequency due to police road closures near ceremony sites.
Memorial Day & Independence Day Eve | Tuesday, April 21, 2026
Schedules will change, and some lines may end service earlier than usual; some lines will not operate at all on this day.
Due to Independence Day Eve events, major streets nationwide are expected to close starting in the afternoon, leading to detours in bus routes.
Night Lines will operate as usual throughout the night to serve celebrators.

Bus service will be reduced, and many lines will be cancelled.
Gush Dan Light Rail (Dankal)
ย On Independence Day Eve, April 21, the Light Rail will operate until the small hours of the night.
๐ Line R1: The last departures from the terminus stations (Komemiyut Bat Yam / CBS Petah Tikva) will be at 02:00 AM.
๐ Line R3: The last departures from the terminus stations (Eliplet Tel Aviv / Kiryat Aryeh Petah Tikva) will be at 02:30 AM.
Please note: On Independence Day, April 22, the Light Rail will operate according to its regular schedule.
Jerusalem Light Rail (Cfir)
On Independence Day Eve, the Light Rail will operate all night long from Tuesday (21.4.2026) through Wednesday (22.4.2026).
Between 19:30 and 03:30 AM, service will operate in split sections:
Between Neve Ya’akov North and Shimon HaTzadik stations.
Between the Central Station and Hadassah Ein Kerem stations.
How to reach the City Hall (Iriya) station: Passengers must transfer to a connecting train at Shimon HaTzadik station and revalidate their ticket.
Please note that between Shimon HaTzadik and City Hall, the connecting train operates on a single track.
The connecting train will board and offboard passengers only from the platform heading towards Neve Ya’akov.
Stops for the connecting train: Shivtei Israel, Damascus Gate (Sha’ar Shechem), and City Hall (Iriya).
From 03:30 AM onwards: The Light Rail will return to its regular full-line service.
