This Sunday, Bay to Breakers will take place this Sunday, May 21st, starting at 8:00 am.
One of the largest running events in the world, Bay to Breakers will close many streets from the starting line at Main and Howard Streets on the east side of San Francisco to the finishing line on the west side of the City on the Great Highway. Once the race begins, you will only have two options to cross the north/south portion of the race course: The Embarcadero and Crossover Drive (which connects 19th Avenue, south of Golden Gate Park to Park Presidio Boulevard and 25th Avenue, north of Golden Gate Park). Expect delays due to street closures during the race and crowds of racers and spectators both before and after the race.
Many Muni routes will be detoured. Please expect delays and crowded buses while traveling to and from the race and in the area. Muni is also offering post-race express buses. All post-race express Muni service ends at 2:00 p.m.
