SFMTA Weekend Traffic Advisory
Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14: The 57th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival will be held. The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. For event details visit www.sfcherryblossom.org.
The following street closures will be required:
- From 4 a.m., Saturday, April 13 to 11 p.m., Sunday, April 14:
- Post Street between Laguna and Fillmore streets
- Webster Street between Geary Boulevard and Sutter Street
- Intersection: Webster Street at Post Street
- From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 14:
- Post Street between Fillmore and Steiner streets
- Japan Center Main Garage at 1650 Geary Boulevard will open from 7 a.m. until midnight, regular hourly rate applies.
- Fillmore Street Annex Garage at 1650 Fillmore Street will open from 7 a.m. until midnight. A $30 flat-rate event parking fee will be charged for valet-assisted parking between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., NO in and out privileges will be allowed. Regular hourly rate will apply between 6 p.m. and midnight.
Cesar Chavez Parade and Festival
Saturday, April 13: The annual Cesar Chavez Parade will begin at 11 a.m. with participants gathering at 19th Street between Dolores and Guerrero streets at 9:30 a.m. The festival will be held on 24th Street between Folsom and Bryant streets from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For details visit cesarchavezday.org.
The parade will proceed from Dolores and 19th streets, east on 19th Street, south on Mission Street, east on 24th Street to Folsom Street. The festival area will take place on 24th Street between Folsom and Bryant streets. Streets will re-open as the parade passes.
The following closures will be required for the festival from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.:
- 24th Street between Folsom and Bryant streets
- Lucky Street between 24th and 25th streets
- Treat Street between 23rd and 25th streets
- Balmy Street between 24th and 25th streets
- Harrison Street between 23rd and 25th streets
- Alabama Street between 23rd and 25th streets
- Florida Street between 23rd and 25th streets
- Intersections closed at 23rd Street: Lucky, Treat, Balmy, Harrison, Alabama and Florida streets.
The following Muni routes will be rerouted: 12-Folsom; 14 Mission; 14R Mission Rapid; 27 Bryant; 48 Quintara/24th Street; 49 Van Ness/Mission and 67 Bernal Heights.
