Metrorail Service Updates (Sunday, Oct. 13th & Monday, Oct. 14th for Indigenous Peoples’ Day and Columbus Day)
- Red Line – Trains every 8-10 minutes –Trains running between Grosvenor-Strathmore & Glenmont every 8 minutes before 9:30 PM and every 10 minutes after 9:30 PMShady Grove, Rockville, Twinbrook, & North Bethesda will be closed.
Shuttle bus service will be provided between Shady Grove & Grosvenor-Strathmore.
- Blue, Orange & Silver Lines – Trains every 10-15 minutes
- Yellow & Green Lines – Trains every 8 minutes
Metrobus Service Updates:
- Metrobus will run a Saturday Supplemental schedule for the holiday

Montgomery County Ride-On
- Ride On running on a regular schedule
PRTC/Omniride
- OmniRide Express buses DO NOT operate on Indigenous People’s & Columbus Day, but all other OmniRide buses (including OmniRide Metro Express, OmniRide Local & OmniRide East-West Express) operate regular service
Arlington Transit
- In observance of the Indigenous People’s & Columbus Day, on October 14th, 2024, ART 41, 42, 45, 51, 55, 77 & 87 will operate on Saturday schedules. All other ART routes will not be operated.
Alexandria DASH Bus
- DASH bus is running on a Saturday Holiday schedule for Indigenous People’s & Columbus Day
Loudoun County Transit
- LCT is running on a reduced Saturday Holiday schedule
Hampton Roads Transit
- HRT will operate on a regular service schedule
MTA/MDOT
All schedules are for Indigenous People’s & Columbus Day
Local Bus:
- All routes will be running on a regular schedule
Commuter Bus:
- No service, except for Commuter Bus Route 201, which will operate on the Weekend/Holiday “S” Schedule

MARC Train:
- All routes will be running on “R” weekday schedule on all 3 lines
