Denver – Parade of Lights

    🥁The Parade of Lights is this Saturday! The parade makes a circuit through downtown and starts at 6 PM. Continue reading for details on the parade route, road closures, and RTD detours.

    Parade Route and Road Closures

    The parade begins at 14th and Bannock Streets, where you can purchase grandstand seating in front of the City and County Building.

    Spectators can view the parade for free along the two-mile route on Tremont Street between 14th and 17th Streets, on 17th Street from Tremont to Arapahoe Street, on Arapahoe between 17th and 15th Streets, and on 15th Street from Arapahoe to Glenarm.

    Roads on and around the parade will be closed starting from 2 PM till 10 PM. 

    • Lawrence from 14th St to 18th St
    • 18th St-15th St from Lawrence to Court 
    • 14th St from Lawrence to W Colfax
    • Roads between Champa and W Colfax
    • W Colfax from Speer to Broadway
    • 14th Ave – 12th Ave from Speer to Broadway

    RTD Detours


    D and H lines will not operate north of Theatre District•Convention Center from 3–9:30 p.m.

    L Line service will be suspended beginning at 3 p.m., with service resuming Sunday, December 3

    • L Line customers can explore Bus Route 43 as an alternative


    RTD Free MallRide will not operate from 3–8:30 p.m.
