Brisbane and South East QLD – Ekka 2023

The Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) is Queensland’s largest and most loved annual event which will happen from Saturday 12 August 2023 to Sunday 20 August 2023. Public transport is one of the easiest and most efficient ways to get to Ekka and this year there are some important changes to be aware of.

Accessible transfers

Accessible transfers will be available for customers with accessibility needs.

From Herston busway station, an accessible transfer will be available on demand to take customers to show gate 5 between 8.30am and 10.30pm. See a staff member at the station during the Ekka to access this service.

From Fortitude Valley station, an accessible transfer will be available from Brunswick Street to take customers to show gate 5 every 30 minutes between 8.30am and 9pm.

Ticketing

Make sure you have a valid public transport ticket when travelling to and from the Ekka.
