Muni (SFMTA), SamTrans, AC Transit, and BART are offering free rides for people traveling to receive their COVID-19 vaccine 💉.
- Muni (SFMTA) – Starting on Tuesday, February 23, Muni will be free for those traveling to get vaccinated for COVID-19. This includes trips in both directions. More info.
- SamTrans – Beginning Thursday, February 25, SamTrans will provide free bus rides on existing service to coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination sites for people living or working within San Mateo County. More info.
- AC Transit is offering fare-free shuttles to the Oakland Coliseum Vaccination Site: to and from Eastmont Transit Center and to and from Coliseum BART. More info.
- BART is offering a free ride home for those vaccinated at the Coliseum site. BART will provide anyone who has received a vaccine a free $7 BART ticket on-site after showing their vaccination card with a matching date. More info.

Muni (SFMTA) is equipping bus with hand sanitizers and face masks dispensers on some vehicles as part of two pilot programs for health and safety protocols related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Five vehicles, a mix of buses and trains, are currently equipped with hand sanitizer stations.
They’re deployed on a rotating basis to the J-Church and T-Third lines as well as seven Muni bus routes: 19-Polk, 28-19th Avenue, 8-Bayshore, 38-Geary, 14-Mission, 49-Van Ness/Mission, and 15-Bayview Hunters Point Express.
