Weekend Service Changes & Advisories
LA Metro will run Holiday service according to the following schedule. Please refer to individual timetables for exact schedules and days of operation.
Christmas Eve (Wed, Dec 24): Weekday Schedule
All lines will operate.
LA Metro is FREE to ride from 9pm Dec 24th thru 2am Dec 25th. Faregates will be unlatched during this time. Please note Metro Rail will close at its normal time around midnight.
Christmas Day (Thurs, Dec 25): Sunday/Holiday Schedule
All lines will operate EXCEPT Lines 126, 127, 128, 154, 175, 176, 177, 202, 209, 211, 215, 220, 237, 239, 242, 243, 244, 254, 258, 270, 290, 302, 311, 312, 316, 330, 352, 353, 355, 358, 363, 364, 378, 442, 485, 489, 577X, 607, 620, 625, 645, 685, 705, 710, 728, 734, 740, 741, 750, 751, 757, 760, 762, 770, 780, 794.
This means buses without Sunday service will not operate on Christmas Day.
Foothill Transit
Foothill Transit will observe the Christmas and New Year holidays with holiday bus service and Transit Store holiday hours.
Schedules will change for the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays
On Friday, December 25, and on Friday, January 1, 2016, the following lines will run according to their Weekend/Holiday Service schedules only:
178, 185, 187, 195, 197, 269, 272, 274, 280, 281, 282, 284, 285, 286, 289, 291, 480, 482, 486, 488, 492, and Silver Streak.
Big Blue Bus
Christmas Day Friday, December 25
All BBB routes operate on a Sunday schedule.
New Year’s Day Friday, January 1
All BBB routes operate on a Sunday schedule.
UCLA Riders
Hilgard Terminal will be closed from Thursday, December 24 until Sunday, January 3.
Routes 1, 2, 3M, 8 and 12: All trips (day and night) will use the Charles E. Young Dr./P2 Transit Hub.
Hilgard Terminal will reopen at 7am on Monday, January 4.
Please note: Rapid 12 will continue regular service to and from Charles E. Young Dr./P2 Transit Hub.
All OCTA Buses will run on Sunday/Holiday schedules on Christmas Day: Friday, December 25, 2015
