Development and Upgrade Works at Herzliya Station, 14-15.8.25

Israel Railways is carrying out development works and service improvements, including the addition of a new passenger hall, doubling the size of Herzliya station, and constructing a pedestrian bridge over the Ayalon Highway.

As the construction of the new station is extensive and must be carried out in a safe environment, the works are expected to last several months, and train service in the Herzliya area will be suspended on several occasions.

The next stage of work will take place from Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 23:00 until Friday, 15.8.25, at 18:00. During these dates and hours, Route 20 (Ayalon Highway) will be temporarily closed southbound only, from the Ma’apilim Interchange to the Shivat HaKochavim Interchange, and minor changes will apply to train service, which will remain operational.

Passengers are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes.

Trains on the Bet Shemesh–Netanya line will start and end their journeys at Tel Aviv Savidor Center station (instead of Netanya). Passengers on this line whose origin or destination is north of Tel Aviv Savidor Center will need to change trains there to continue their journey.

Alternative shuttle services will not be provided.

Train service will return to normal on Saturday night, 16.8.25, upon the resumption of service.

It is recommended to plan your trip in advance 🚥. *There might be unexpected changes.*

Moovit is updated with latest changes that are being published by the bus operators and the Ministry of Transportation.
