Train Service Updates for This Week ๐Ÿš†

July 3, 2025

Dear riders,

We’ve gathered all the upcoming train service updates you should know about.

๐Ÿš† Israel Railways

Development and Upgrade Work at Herzliya Station and Changes in the Costal Railway

Israel Railways is carrying out development and service improvement work to add a new passenger hall, double the size of Herzliya station, and build a pedestrian bridge over Ayalon Highway.

In order to build the new station and connect it to the existing station and the railway tracks, engineering work will be carried out in the station area, mainly hoisting beams and building bridges.

Due to this and for safety reasons, changes will apply to train traffic and traffic arrangements on Route 20 on several different dates.

Further work is planned for Thursday, 3.7.25 at 23:00 until Friday, 4.7.25 at 17:00.ย

โš ๏ธ Temporary Closure of Herzliya Station

  • Herzliya station will be closed to service, and train traffic between the Raโ€™anana and Herzliya stations will be temporarily suspended. Direct travel between Haifa and Tel Aviv will not be possible.
Route 20 (Ayalon Highways) will be temporarily closed southbound from the Ma’apilim Interchange to the Shivat HaKochavim Interchange. For those traveling north, the off-ramp from Highway 20 to the Shivat HaKochavim Interchange and the on-ramp back to Route 20 will be open, allowing a detour around the road blockage and continued northbound travel.

It is recommended not to reach the area and use alternative routes.

  • Tel Aviv University – Expo station will be open to service for passengers on the Sharon Ring Line only: Ra’anana West – Ashkelon.

Train traffic will return to normal on Saturday, 5.7.25, upon the resumption of service.

โš ๏ธ Temporary Suspension of Train Traffic Between Haifa and Tel Aviv

In addition, on Friday, 4.7.25, starting at 00:01 (the night between Thursday and Friday) and until the end of operating hours, train traffic between the Tel Aviv Savidor Center and Haifa Hof HaCarmel stations will be temporarily suspended, and direct travel from Haifa to Tel Aviv will not be possible. This is due to life-saving infrastructure work that is essential for travel safety in the Zikhron Yaโ€™akov area.

Train traffic will be temporarily suspended at Binyamina, Caesarea Pardes Hanna, Hadera West, Netanya, Netanya Sapir, and Bet Yehoshua stations.

A free shuttle service will operate in the Herzliya area and between Tel Aviv and Haifa.

Additional information about the alternative shuttles operated by the railway is available in the Trip Plan and Lines tabs in the Moovit app ๐Ÿ“ฑ๐Ÿ”.

Starting Sunday, 6.7.25,ย the Migdal HaEmek – Kfar Baruch, Rishon Letsiyon HaRishonim, and Dimona stations will open to service.

The following stations will be closed to service:ย Kiryat Haim, Hutsot HaMifrats, Holon Junction, Ra’anana South.
