Changes in Train Service

August 21, 2025

Dear riders, please note:

Due to damage to the railway power infrastructure in the Ganot and Vitkin areas, there will be changes in train service.

❗Israel Railways is operating free alternative shuttles on the closed sections.

Additional information about the alternative shuttles is available in the Trip Plan and Lines tab in the Moovit app 📱🔍.

Reinforced Israel Railways teams are working around the clock, 24/7, to repair the damage. The repair work is expected to take several days.

Train service from Wednesday, August 20, 2025, through Tuesday, August 26, 2025:

  • Tel Aviv HaShalom Station will be temporarily closed. Lod Ganei Aviv and Kfar Chabad stations will remain closed.

  • Tel Aviv HaHagana Station will be closed to most lines, except for the Ashkelon–Herzliya line, which will terminate there from the south.

  • Trains from the south will start and end their journeys at Lod Station.

  • Trains from Jerusalem and Modi’in will terminate at Ben Gurion Airport Station. Travel from Tel Aviv or the north to Ben Gurion Airport will not be possible.

  • Trains from the north will terminate at Tel Aviv Savidor Center Station.

  • Trains from Hasharon Ring will terminate at Tel Aviv Savidor Center and Bnei Brak stations. Passengers from Hasharon Ring stations are advised to consider using the Light Rail from Kiryat Arye Station.

Passengers are encouraged to use alternative public transportation where possible.

Alternative transport services
A dedicated shuttle bus will operate free of charge between Tel Aviv HaHagana, Tel Aviv HaShalom, and Tel Aviv Savidor Center stations, every 5 minutes in both directions.

It is recommended to plan your trip in advance 🚥. *There might be unexpected changes.*

Moovit is updated with latest changes that are being published by the bus operators and the Ministry of Transportation.

Safe travels 🙂
