Starting from the recent app update (5.50) which is already available in the app stores, issuing an entry voucher for Israel Railways will be available straight from Moovit, according to the new guidelines regarding the passenger limit on every train.
In order to issue an entry voucher, follow these steps:
- Plan your trip in the ‘Directions’ tab and choose the desired option
- In case the trip includes a train ride, a new button will show: ‘Book an entry voucher’. Click on it and you will be directed to Israel Railways Website.
- On Israel Railways website, choose the correct trip and click ‘To book a train entry voucher’. In the next screen, fill in your ID no., E-mail, Phone no. and click ‘Confirm order’
- In a few moments, you will receive a verification code by SMS which you will need to fill in. Afterwards, you will receive the voucher via SMS/E-mail
Please note that the entry voucher DOES NOT REPLACE the regular train ticket which shall be paid for in advance or in the train stations cashier.
When arriving at the train station, prepare to present the entry pass and an ID, to enter the train station.
