If you are travelling by public transport to enjoy the festivities this St. Patrick’s weekend, please note that there may be changes to your usual service.

Below details are provisional and due to be updated closer to the event date.

 

Dublin: Parnell Square North will be not be available to buses/ coaches due to the construction of temporary grandstands
The area will be unavailable from 19:00 on 15th March 2024 to after the parade on 17th March 2024.

Details on Nitelinks services will be available nearer to the event date in March 2024.

24-hour services
24-hour services are in operation seven days a week across ten routes.

Sunday 17 March 2024 – St. Patrick’s Day
A Sunday Timetable will operate on all routes on St. Patrick’s Day and City Tours will not operate. Due to St. Patrick’s Day Parades, real time information will not be available from approximately 08.00 to 18.00.

Bus Éireann

All Bus Éireann and Expressway services may operate to a Sunday schedule on St. Patrick’s Day, Sunday 17 March.

It is expected that there will be a number of diversions on St. Patricks day due to parades taking place across the country and we will update this page with information on the diversions closer to the time.

Local Link

Regular Rural Services will be operating a Sunday schedule. Some diversions are in place due to local parades.

There will be a number of diversions on routes

 

Tram – Luas

On St. Patrick’s Day (Sunday 17th March), Services on both the Red and Green Lines will run Sunday Operating Hours. There will also be partial closures of the Red and Green Lines to accommodate the parade.

Train

Sunday schedules will be in operation on March 17th 2024 with some additional services for DART and Commuter services.
