    Plan your travel for the first weekend of April! 🎒 Since it’s the Easter Bank Holiday weekend (April 3–6, 2026), there are significant schedule changes and maintenance works you need to know about. 🐣

    πŸš† Irish Rail (DART & Commuter)

    A major engineering project is happening on the south side. πŸ› οΈ

    • DART Closure: There will be no DART service between Dublin Connolly and Dun Laoghaire from Saturday (April 4) through Monday (April 6). 🚫

    • Closed Stations: Tara St, Pearse, Grand Canal Dock, Lansdowne Rd, Sandymount, Sydney Parade, Booterstown, Blackrock, Seapoint, and Salthill/Monkstown will be closed. πŸš‰

    • Alternatives: DARTs will run between Malahide/Howth & Connolly, and between Dun Laoghaire & Bray/Greystones. Dublin Bus will accept rail tickets on valid routes! 🚌


    🚌 Dublin Bus & BusConnects

    Expect a holiday schedule for the long weekend:

    • Good Friday (April 3): Weekday service (including full Nitelink). πŸŒ™

    • Easter Saturday (April 4): Saturday service (including full Nitelink). πŸ’ƒ

    • Easter Sunday & Monday (April 5-6): Sunday service. Note: No Nitelink services on Sunday or Monday night! πŸ’€

    • Diversion Alert: Route S8 has ongoing diversions in the Sandyford area (Blackthorn Rd) due to roadworks. 🚧


    🚍 Bus Γ‰ireann & Expressway

    • Fare Update: Starting April 1st, new fare adjustments come into effect across most routes (avg. +4%). πŸ’³

    • Free Travel Cards: From April 1st, expired Paper Passes or PSC cards will no longer be accepted. Make sure your Public Services Card is in-date! πŸ†”

    • Waterford: Midweek flood works continue, but weekend rail services remain unaffected! 🌊

    • Easter Schedule: Trams will run on a Sunday/Bank Holiday schedule on Sunday (April 5) and Monday (April 6). πŸ•’
