Due to the marathon, public transportation routes in the city will be affected, with possible delays and skipped bus stops.
We’ve gathered all the key transit updates you need to know ahead of the weekend:
π Shuttles for the Marathon
Free shuttles (back and forth) will be available from 5:00 AM to 13:00.
- Pickup from the east exit space at Teddy Stadium.
- Drop-off in the area of Sacher Park, HaNasi HaShishi Street β Egged Terminal (near HaLe’um Parking Lot)
- Shuttles will be waiting at the drop-off point to return runners to the starting point.
The shuttle schedule and route are available in the Trip Plan and on the Lines screens in the Moovit app!
In light of the Jerusalem Marathon, which will take place on Friday, April 4, 2025 (6th of Nisan, 5785), from 05:30 to approximately 10:00, and subject to police instructions, train service will not operate between Ammunition Hill Station and the Central Station in both directions.
Trains will run between Neve Yaakov – North and Ammunition Hill Station in both directions, as well as between the Central Station and Hadassah Ein Kerem Station in both directions.
During these hours, for your convenience, the Extra company will operate alternative bus lines between Ammunition Hill and the Central Station, both ways: 25, 45, 66, 66A, 65, 69, 68.
π Buses
Many traffic routes will be closed due to the Jerusalem Marathon scheduled for Friday, 4/4/2025. Consequently, many bus lines will bypass stations in the area. Here is a list of the affected lines:
Egged
Lines with route/station changes: 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 22, 22A, 30A, 34, 35, 50, 80, 88, 402, 409, 416.
Lines canceled during the marathon (will resume after 12:00): 7, 13, 14, 17, 19, 30A, 39. Instead of line 19 from Mount Scopus to Hadassah Ein Kerem, line 19 will operate from Nayot Junction to Hadassah Ein Kerem. Instead of line 19 from Hadassah Ein Kerem to Mount Scopus, line 42A will operate from Hadassah Ein Kerem to Nayot Junction.
Lines operating as usual: 4, 16, 20, 21, 23, 23A, 24, 26, 26A, 27, 28, 29, 30, 33, 39, 80 (circular line in the Gilo neighborhood) and 150.
Kavim
Lines with route/station changes: 192, 194, 184, 226, 239, 246.
Extra
Lines with route/station changes: 1, 3, 25, 45, 53, 55, 59, 61, 65, 66, 66A, 68, 69, 541.
Lines 48 and 48Χ will be canceled during the marathon.
Tnufa
Lines with route/station changes: 630.
Superbus
Lines with route/station changes: 531, 510, 509, 504, 163, 136, 95, 92, 83A, 83, 82, 78, 77A, 77, 75, 74, 72, 71, 31, 91.
Lines canceled during the marathon only (05:00-12:20): 38.
Lines that will not operate at all on marathon day: 2, 49, 90, 97, 517.
Electra-Afikim
Lines with route/station changes: 142, 143, 148, 164, 166, 167, 168, 215, 216, 461, 462, 464, 467, 468, 949.
Lines canceled during the marathon only: 124.
Lines that will not operate on the marathon day: 120, 126.
