This Saturday starts 3 weeks of service disruption for 1 Line trains while crews work to perform track maintenance near downtown stations. During this time, trains will run less frequently and service to Capitol Hill, Westlake, University Street, Pioneer Square, and Int’l District / Chinatown will be impacted. Please plan for additional travel time.
Weekday service (Jan. 15-19, 22-26, 29-Feb. 2)
- On weekdays, 1 Line trains will run only every 26 minutes between Northgate Station and Angle Lake Station.
- Additional weekday trains will run between Northgate–University of Washington, and between Stadium–Angle Lake, for combined service every 13 minutes in these areas.
- If you board at stations outside of Capitol Hill or downtown Seattle, you’ll need to stay alert to which train you choose. If your destination is downtown or Capitol Hill, you may wait for the full-service train, or ride the additional service train to UW or Stadium stations, and then wait 13 minutes to transfer to the next train that goes all the way through.
Weekend service (Jan. 13-14, 20-21, 27-28, Feb. 3-4)
- 1 Line trains will note service: Westlake, University Street, Pioneer Square, and Int’l District / Chinatown & Stadium.
- Bus shuttles will replace 1 line service to these stations and run every 10-15 minutes.
- Trains will run every 15 minutes between Northgate–Capitol Hill and between SODO–Angle Lake.
Weekend Link shuttle bus service
Link shuttle buses every 10-15 minutes will replace trains between Capitol Hill–SODO and serve all closed stations. You can find a Link shuttle bus map HERE.

- Stadium Station: SODO Busway and S Royal Brougham Way
- International District Station: 4th Ave S and S Jackson Street
- Pioneer Square Station: 3rd Ave and James Street
- University Street Station: 3rd Ave and Union Street
- Westlake Station: 3rd Ave and Pine Street
- Capitol Hill Station: Broadway E and E Denny Way
Southbound Link shuttle bus stop locations:
- Capitol Hill Station: Broadway E and E Denny Way
- Westlake Station: Pine St and 5th Ave
- University Street Station: 3rd Ave and Union Street
- Pioneer Square Station: 3rd Ave and James Street
- International District Station: 5th Ave and S King Street
