Description
Strike action has been announced by the ASLEF Union for the following train operators on the following days:
Today, Monday 8 April – c2c, Gatwick Express, Greater Anglia (which includes Stansted Express), Great Northern, Southeastern, Southern, South Western Railway (which includes Island Line) and Thameslink
In addition the above train operators have an overtime ban today, Monday 8 April and on Tuesday 9 April which could also significantly alter the timetable of trains that are running.
The train operators listed below are also affected by the overtime ban on those dates:
Avanti West Coast
Chiltern Railways
CrossCountry
East Midlands Railway
Great Western Railway
London Northwestern Railway
LNER
Northern
TransPennine Express
West Midlands Railway
On the days where full strike action is taking place this is likely to result in little or no services across large areas of the network operated by the affected train companies. Services are also likely to be disrupted and start later on the day immediately following a full strike day. On days where an overtime ban is in place, the timetable for some train companies may be revised in advance or services subject to short-notice delay or cancellation on the day.
Passengers are warned to expect significant disruption and advised to plan ahead and check before you travel.
