Description
Lines have now reopened following damage to the overhead electric wires between London Paddington and Hayes & Harlington. Trains between London Paddington and Reading / Heathrow Airport may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
Major disruption is expected until 14:00.

Shenfield to Heathrow services may start / terminate at London Liverpool Street.
Shuttle service operating between West Drayton and Reading.

Customer Advice for Great Western Railway:
All lines have since reopened with normal working resumed. The residual delays and disruption will continue into the early afternoon whilst services recover as there are displaced trains and members of crew across the network.
As an alternative, customers may use their Great Western Railway tickets on the following:
Chiltern Railway services between London Marylebone and Oxford.
Southern / Thameslink services from London Victoria to Gatwick Airport.
South Western Railway services between Guildford and London Waterloo.
London Underground services via any reasonable route.
First Berkshire Thames Valley buses accepting customers on routes 3,4,7,8,13 & X74.
All of these alternatives are in place until further notice.
Major disruption between Salisbury and Exeter St Davids expected until the end of the day (10th December)
Route(s) affected Between London Waterloo and Exeter St Davids Description Due to a landslip between Yeovil Junction and Exeter St Davids, all lines are blocked. What’s Going On Train services running between these stations will be cancelled. Major disruption is expected until the end of the day. What We’re Doing About It On Monday 4 December, heavy rain and flooding caused a landslip at Crewkerne tunnel, blocking the line between Salisbury and Exeter St Davids. Following an assessment on Tuesday 5 December, it was confirmed that the tunnel will be closed until Monday 11 December. As a result, you are advised not to attempt to travel between Salisbury and Exeter St Davids until Monday 11 December. Service summaries can be seen below: Sunday 10 December: There will be no service between Yeovil Junction and Exeter St Davids. A rail shuttle service will operate between Salisbury and Yeovil Junction via Westbury. Adverse weather is expected, which is likely to affect rail replacement bus services between Salisbury and Yeovil Junction. Monday 11 December:The line between Salisbury and Exeter St Davids is expected to re-open.Please do not attempt to travel between Salisbury and Exeter St David’s until Monday 11 December.
