Weekend Service Update

    πŸš‡ Major Tube Strike (Tue 19 – Fri 22 May) ⚠️

    The RMT union has planned strikes affecting all Underground lines.

    • Timing: Midday Tuesday to Midday Wednesday, and Midday Thursday to Midday Friday.

    • Impact: Expect significant disruption across the whole network. Services that do run will finish earlier than usual on strike evenings.

    • Alternatives: The Elizabeth line, DLR, and Overground will run normally but will be extremely busy.


    🚌 Bus & Road Disruptions
    East London Bus Strike

    From 05:00 Friday (tomorrow) until 05:00 Saturday, a strike will affect routes:

    • Affected: 8, 205, N8, N25, N205.

    • Near Normal: Routes 25 and 425 are expected to run mostly as usual.

    Major Events & Road Closures
    • Central London (Sat 16): Large marches will close roads between Russell Square and Parliament Square (09:00–18:00) and Exhibition Road to Pall Mall (11:00–18:00).

    • Camden (Fri 15 – Sun 17): Greenland Road closed (12:30–23:00) for a music festival.

    • Hackney (Sun 17): Extensive closures for the Half Marathon (05:00–15:00).

    • Westminster (Until Fri 15): Abingdon Street closed for the State Opening of Parliament.


    London Underground
    • Central Line (Fri 15 – Sun 17): No service Marble Arch to Woodford/Newbury Park (Fri Night Tube) or Marble Arch to Leytonstone (Sat/Sun).

    • District & Hammersmith & City (Sat 16 – Sun 17): Trains will not stop at Mile End.

    • Piccadilly Line (Thu 28 – Sun 31): Note for later next weekβ€”no service to Heathrow or Uxbridge branches.

    London Overground & DLR
    • Mildmay Line: Westbound closures after 23:45 (Mon 18 – Thu 21) and Southbound closures (Tue 19 – Fri 22).

    • Windrush Line (Sun 17): No service between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace/West Croydon.

    • Elizabeth Line (Sun 17): No service Paddington to Ealing Broadway until 07:45.

    • DLR (Fri 15 – Tue 19): No service after 23:30 each night. On Sunday 17, no service Tower Gateway to Shadwell all day.
