    ✈️ Travel to Gatwick & Brighton

    Saturday 24 & Sunday 25 January

    • Major Delay Warning: Add at least 90 minutes extra to your journey.

    • From Victoria: Direct services are available but will be extremely busy.

    • From London Bridge: No direct trains. You must take a train to East Grinstead and then a replacement bus to Gatwick.

    • Brighton/Sussex Coast: Expect heavy disruption and longer travel times due to Network Rail engineering works.


    🚇 London Underground Updates

    Major Closures (Sat 24 & Sun 25 January)

    • Hammersmith & City Line:No service on the entire line.

    • Circle Line: No service between Hammersmith – Tower Hill and Edgware Road – High St Kensington.

    • District Line: No service between Edgware Road and High St Kensington.

    • Metropolitan Line: No service between Baker Street and Aldgate.

    • Thameslink Alert: Trains will not stop at Farringdon this weekend.

    Night Tube (Fri Night/Sat Morning)

    • Jubilee Line: Trains will skip Baker Street. Use local buses 13, N113 (to St John’s Wood), or 139 (to Bond St).


    🚆 Overground, Elizabeth Line & DLR

    • Elizabeth Line (Sun 25): Reduced service Paddington to Heathrow/Maidenhead. No stops at Acton Main Line, Hanwell, or West Ealing.

    • Weaver line (Thu 22): No service between Hackney Downs and Chingford after 22:45
    • Mildmay Line (Sun 25): No service between Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction.

    • Suffragette Line (Sun 25): No service Gospel Oak – Barking (until 12:45) and no service Barking – Barking Riverside (all day).

    • DLR (Sun 25): No service between Tower Gateway and Shadwell.


    🚗 Roads & Events

    • A40 Westway: ⚠️ Eastbound closure (towards Central London) from Friday 22:00 until Monday 05:00. Expect heavy delays.

    • Football Traffic (Sat/Sun): Matches at London Stadium (West Ham), Stamford Bridge (Chelsea W), Craven Cottage (Fulham), Selhurst Park (Palace), and Emirates (Arsenal).

    • Central London: Increased footfall due to a charity walk starting/ending at the Oval (Sat/Sun, 08:00–17:00).
