    LA Metro: 

    Face coverings are required on Metro until further notice.

    In an effort to reduce touchpoints and conserve critical cleaning supplies and staffing resources, select entrances to B/D Line (Red/Purple) subway stations remain closed. All stations will remain ADA accessible with station elevator access and trains will continue to serve all stations. Signage will direct customers to nearby alternate entrances and exits.

    • Westlake/MacArthur Park Station North Portal/99 Cent Store entrance is closed, use the south entrance.
    • Vermont/Santa Monica Station Willow Brook/LACC Portal entrance is closed, use the main entrance.
    • Universal City/Studio City Station park & ride/Citywalk entrance is closed, use bus plaza entrance.
    • Civic Center/Grand Park Station 1st Street entrance is closed, use Temple St. entrance.
    • Pershing Square Station 4th NW/Angels Flight entrance is closed, use 4th Street NE entrance.

    New bus schedules effective December 13:

    More Frequent Service:

    • Trips added on weekdays to the following bus lines to improve frequencies and provide more room for social distancing: 2, 4, 10, 16, 18, 20, 28, 30, 33, 40, 45, 53, 55, 60, 62, 66, 70, 78, 81, 90/91, 105, 108, 110, 111, 115, 125, 130, 150/240, 152, 161, 162/163, 164, 165, 166, 200, 206, 207, 209, 210, 212, 224, 232, 233, 234, 245, 251, 258, 260, 344, 460, 550, 603, 704, 720, 733, 734, 744, 754, 757 and 910 (the J Line, i.e. Silver Line).
    • Trips e added on Saturdays on the following lines: 16, 18, 28, 40, 45, 51, 60, 66, 81, 105, 108, 111, 152, 162/163, 180/181, 200, 204, 207, 210, 212, 224, 251, 260, 487, 603, 720, 733 and 754.
    • Trips added on Sundays on the following lines: 18, 28, 45, 53, 60, 66, 81, 105, 115, 200, 207, 210, 251, 460, 487 and 754.
    • Lines 53 (Central Av), 55 (Compton Av), 70 (Garvey Av), 152 (Roscoe Bl), and 603 (Hoover St) will improve to 15-minute frequencies during the day on weekdays.
    • Line 734 (Sepulveda Bl) will be improved to 20-minute frequencies during the day on weekdays
    • Lines 165 (Vanowen St) and 234 (Sepulveda Bl) will be improved to 20-minute frequencies peak periods weekdays.
    • Lines 90/91 (Sunland/Sylmar via Foothill Bl) will be improved to 30-minute frequencies during the day.

    Eight Rapid Lines Being Replaced With More Frequent Local Lines:

    Eight Rapid Lines listed below are discontinued and replaced with increased service frequency on local lines on these same corridors. Some bus stops on local bus lines changed to reduce travel time on the bus while maintaining easy access to bus stops. If a stop is discontinued, you will see a sign on it directing you to the nearest stop.

    • The 705 that serves Vernon Avenue and La Cienega Boulevard is replaced by the 105.
    • The 710 on Crenshaw Boulevard is by the 210.
    • The 728 on Olympic Boulevard is replaced by the 28.
    • The 740 on Hawthorne and Crenshaw boulevards is replaced by the 40 and 210.
    • The 745 on Broadway is replaced by the 45.
    • The 751 on Soto Street is replaced by the 251.
    • The 760 on Long Beach Boulevard is replaced by the 60.
    • The 762 on Atlantic Boulevard and Fair Oaks Avenue is replaced by the 260.

    Modifications to Other Bus Lines:

    • The routes for Lines 20 and 60 in downtown Los Angeles are adjusted to save time by using the new 5th & 6th Street bus lanes instead of 7th Street (which will still be served by Lines 51, 52).
    • Line 55 is being straightened to reduce travel time for the majority of riders by omitting the lesser-used part of the route to the A (Blue) Line’s Firestone Station. Overnight owl service on the 55 south of Willowbrook/Rosa ParksStation is discontinued due to low ridership.
    • Line 60 owl service to Long Beach will no longer stop at Compton Station due to low ridership.
    • Line 62 is straightened to reduce travel time for most riders by omitting the lesser-used segment of the route to/from the Norwalk Metrolink Station.
    • Line 76 is straightened to reduce travel time for most riders by omitting the lesser-used segment to/from the El Monte Metrolink Station.
    • Line 106 begins running service on weekdays again – service on this line was suspended in April due to COVID-19 pandemic service changes.
    • Line 117 will have a new segment on Century Boulevard to better serve the Jordan Downs housing redevelopment.
    • Line 126 on Manhattan Beach Boulevard is discontinued due to low ridership.
    • Line 161’s first two trips on weekdays are extended to serve Thousand Oaks.
    • Line 210 is adjusted for all trips to serve the D (Purple) Line’s Wilshire/Western Station via Crenshaw, Wilshire, Western, Beverly, and Rossmore for improved connections to the Metro Rail network.
    • Line 217 service is discontinued south of the E (Expo) Line due to low ridership. This lesser-used section of Line 217 has not operated since April.
    • Line 254 is discontinued due to low ridership. 
    • Line 258 is rerouted to serve the L (Gold) Line’s South Pasadena Station and York/Figueroa via Floral Street and Eastern Avenue to provide a much-requested connection with the L (Gold) Line. Service on Oak Knoll in San Marino is discontinued due to low ridership on this segment.
    • Limited Lines 302, 312, 316, 330, 351, 353, 355, 358, 364, 378 are merged with their partner local lines. These lines have not operated since April due to pandemic service changes.
    • Line 442 is discontinued due to low ridership. This service has not operated since April due to COVID-19 pandemic service changes.
    • Lines 487 and 489 will terminate in the 7th & Metro Center area in downtown L.A. during peak hours weekdays and at Union Station during off-peak hours and on weekends to reflect ridership patterns.
    • Line 534’s segment to Point Dume is discontinued due to low ridership.
    • Line 601’s owl service to Warner Center is discontinued due to low ridership.
    • Line 607 in Windsor Hills and Inglewood is discontinued due to low ridership.
    • Line 612 (South Gate Shuttle) is discontinued due to low ridership. 
    • Line 625 LAX World Way West shuttle discontinued due to low ridership.

    Boarding:

    • The front door will remain available to wheelchair riders and those who need a wheelchair ramp.
    • To assist with social distancing, all Metro Bus riders must board and exit through rear doors only.
    • Rear door; however front door boarding available upon request.
    • Face coverings are required until further notice.

    METRO RAIL

    • G Line (Orange): Buses will run on Saturday/Sunday schedule seven days a week with buses every 10 minutes between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. and every 15 minutes at other times.
    • J Line (Silver): Line 910 will run on Saturday/Sunday schedule seven days a week with buses every 15 minutes between 7:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. and every 15 to 20 minutes at other times. Line 950 to and from San Pedro will run every 30 minutes most of the day. The first northbound 950 trips departing San Pedro at 5:33 a.m. will use a larger, 60-foot bus to help riders maintain physical distancing
    • A Line (Blue): Weekday trains will run every 12 minutes between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and 20 minutes at all other times. Weekend trains will run every 12 minutes between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and every 20 minutes at all other times.
    • B Line (Red) and D Line (Purple): Weekday trains on both lines will run every 12 minutes from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Weekend trains will run every 12 minutes on both lines from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and every 20 minutes at all other times.
    • C Line (Green): Weekday trains will run every 12 minutes from 4 a.m. until 9 a.m., 15 minutes from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and 12 minutes from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m., and every 20 minutes at all other times. Weekend trains will run every 15 minutes from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and every 20 minutes at other times.
    • E Line (Expo): Weekday trains will run every 12 minutes between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and every 20 minutes at all other times. Weekend trains will run every 12 minutes between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and every 20 minutes at all other times.
    • L Line (Gold): Beginning Saturday, October 24th Metro Gold Line Little Tokyo/Arts District Station is closed for construction. Shuttle bus service provided between Union Station and Pico Aliso Station via Little Tokyo. Weekday trains will run every 12 minutes between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and every 20 minutes at all other times. Weekend trains will run every 12 minutes between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and every 20 minutes at all other times.
    • Final trips each day departing terminal stations are at midnight on all trains.

    METRO BIKE

    • Metro Bike Share remains available at this time. We recommend using sanitizing wipes to clean the bike before and after riding and washing your hands after a ride. 
    • Metro Bike Hubs are currently unstaffed but remain open 24/7 for self-parking.

    Antelope Valley Transit Authority (AVTA)

    Effective Monday, Oct. 19, 2020, AVTA will resume regular local & commuter services, with the exception of the school specials & 747/748. Additional service changes in effect December 14.

    Arcadia Transit Fixed-Route provides general public transit service on three bus lines – Green, Blue, and Red.

    Beach Cities Transit

    Big Blue Bus:

    Beginning Sunday, September 27, there are schedule adjustments on thirteen (13) routes, restoring weekday service on Rapid 7, and suspending service on Route 16. The changes will help us limit overcrowding as customers return to our system, reallocate service where customers need it most, and ensure that our buses remain a safe and reliable option for getting around the region.

    Burbank Bus:

    Effective Monday, April 13, 2020, BurbankBus will be implementing a service reduction for all routes until further notice:

    • The NoHo-Media District Route will offer service every 30 minutes from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
    • The NoHo-Airport Route will offer service every 30 minutes from 6:00 a.m. to 8:37 p.m.
    • The Pink Route will operate on a regular schedule, but hours will be shortened to 6:30 a.m. to 8:38 p.m.

    Camarillo Area Transit:

    • Regular transit services and Camarillo Trolley have resumed
    • Effective January 1, 2021 transit fares will be temporarily suspended and service will be provided for free. Read more.

    City of Commerce Municipal Bus Lines:

    The City of Commerce bus service is operating on a modified Saturday schedule. Citadel Express service has been modified.

    Foothill Transit:

    Foothill Transit is running fewer buses on Commuter Express Lines 490, 493, 495, 498, 499, and 699 as of Monday, January 11, and continuing until further notice.

    Face covering is required to ride, rear door boarding.

    GTrans:

    GTrans is operating a modified bus schedule seven days a week until further notice. Line 5 will operate daily on weekdays only. Line 4 is temporarily out of service until further notice.

    LBT is operating a modified bus schedule, until further notice, for customers performing essential activities and traveling to work.

    Metrolink Trains:

    Metrolink temporarily operates on a modified schedule.

    Montebello Bus Lines:

    On Sunday, January 3rd, 2021, Montebello Bus Lines implemented a new schedule with increased service on multiple lines.

    Boarding:

    • Enter through the front door, exit through the rear door
    • Passengers are required to wear face masks
    • Maximum of 10 passengers per bus to prevent overcrowding

    Omnitrans:

    Operating adjusted bus services as of Monday, January 4, 2021:

    • Route 1: All new times, all days.
    • Route 2: Multiple trips adjusted, all days.
    • Route 6: Multiple trips adjusted, all days. Routing has been moved from Second Street, between Mountain Avenue and the San Bernardino Transit Center to travel on Rialto Avenue.
    • Route 10: Multiple trips adjusted, all days.
    • Route 61: Minor time adjustments, weekdays only.
    • Route 82: Eastbound 7:25 AM, westbound 5:35 AM, 2:30 PM and 5:40 PM trips adjusted, weekdays only.
    • Route 83: All northbound trips adjusted; southbound trips 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM adjusted, weekdays only.
    • Route 84: All southbound trips adjusted, weekdays. Times adjusted Saturday and Sunday. The timepoint at Mountain and 5th has been moved to Mountain and Holt.
    • Route 87: Times adjusted, all days. Due to construction in Ontario, Route 87 will detour from 4th Street between Vineyard and Grove to travel on 6th Street.

    Pasadena Transit:

    Effective August 9:

    • Route 20 weekdays: 12-15 minute service most of the day
    • Route 31/32 weekdays: 18-25 minute service most of the day
    • Route 40 weekdays: 33-minute service all-day
    • Route 51/52 weekdays: 60-minute service all-day
    • Route 60: Temporarily discontinued
    • Current Saturday and Sunday schedules will remain

    Riverside Transit Agency (RTA):

    Riverside Transit Agency has adjusted all routes and schedules, effective January 10, 2021.

    ROUTE 24: This route and schedule was adjusted in Old Town Temecula to travel on Mercedes Street between Main and 6th streets. The timepoint on 6th Street has been removed.

    ROUTE 27: The 5:57 p.m. and 8:06 p.m. southbound trips departing the Galleria at Tyler was adjusted to depart at 6:03 p.m. and 8:08 p.m. instead. The northbound 7:08 p.m. trip departing Perris Station Transit Center was also adjusted to depart at 7:10 p.m. to improve connections with other routes.

    ROUTE 49: The westbound 5:01 p.m. and 6:50 p.m. trips departing the Riverside-Downtown Metrolink Station will be adjusted to depart at 5:08 p.m. and 6:57 p.m. instead. The eastbound 5:56 p.m. trip departing Banana & Cherry avenues will also be adjusted to depart at 6:03 p.m. to improve connections with trains.

    Front Door Boarding and Fare Collection Resumed on November 2.

    Santa Clarita Transit:

    Beginning January 1, 2021 operators on all Santa Clarita Transit services will begin asking riders to once again pay their fare.

    Effective January 4, 20201, to align with updated Metrolink timetables,  Route 502 has a modified schedule.

    Beginning October 10, 2020, many local routes will have expanded service hours and additional trips. This schedule balances the current needs for public transportation and social distancing and will continue until further direction is provided. Passengers are required to wear face coverings while onboard Santa Clarita Transit vehicles.

    Simi Valley Transit:

    Effective Monday, November 2, 2020, the schedule for Route 20 has changed.

    Simi Valley Transit’s Route 10, 20, and 30 are operating. Route A, B, C, and D are no longer in service.

    Effective Monday, July 13, 2020 face masks will be required when riding all Simi Valley Transit vehicles.

    Effective April 10: The City will no longer charge fare on the Fixed Route system until further notice. Also, passengers will only load and unload from the rear door of the bus, however, seniors and individuals with mobility devices may board through the front door. Passengers are also encouraged to wear masks. Please view the Press Release for more information.

    Thousand Oaks Transit:

    Effective Monday, June 1, 2020, all Thousand Oaks Transit services have resumed normal service with new bus routes on August 3, 2020 – Route 40, 41, 42, 43, and 44. Free fares.

    Thousand Oaks Transit is prohibiting eating and drinking is while onboard their buses. The use of face-covering is required at all times. If you need a mask, please request one from your driver.

    Torrance Transit:

    • Due to a surge in Corona virus (COVID-19) outbreak, starting Monday, February 15, Torrance Transit buses are running on a modified schedule until further notice. The buses will be running on a Saturday schedule Monday thru Friday with peak hour service on Lines 4X and 6. More info.
    • All passengers must wear a face-covering while riding a Torrance Transit bus and must use the designated seating.
    • Torrance Transit is presently not charging fares.
    • Everyone must board and alight from the rear door.
