Metrobus Routes Restored, Alerts & More!

    WMATA 

    Metrobus Updates:

      • Metrobus to expand late-night service, restore more routes to support region’s recovery effective June 6

    Schedule Info:

    • Metrobus operates from 4:00 a.m. until 12:00 a.m. on a Modified Sunday Schedule.
    • Weekend schedules run from 4:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.
    • Mon-Fri: Buses arrive on a Sunday schedule unless otherwise noted. Sat-Sun: Buses arrive every 30 minutes unless otherwise noted.

    Metrorail Updates:

        • Metrorail operates from 5:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. on Weekdays, 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturdays, and 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Sundays
        • Weekday service info.
        • Red Line Trains – Regular daytime intervals: Trains trains every 6 minutes until 7 p.m.Weeknights: Trains every 15 minutes.
        • Blue Line Service every 10-20 minutes – Normal service resumes between Franconia-Springfield and Largo. Arlington Cemetery and Addison Rd reopened.
        • Orange Line Trains – Daytime intervals: Trains every 12-16 minutes until 7 p.m.   Weeknights: Trains every 20 minutes.
        • Silver Line Trains every 12-20 minutes. Regular daytime intervals: Trains every 12 minutes until 7 p.m.   Weeknights: Trains every 20 minutes.
        • Yellow Line Trains every 12-20 minutes operating in two segments: Huntington – Greenbelt and Franconia-Springfield – Mt Vernon Sq/National AirportRegular daytime intervals: Trains every 12 minutes until 7 p.m.   Weeknights: Trains every 20 minutes.
        • Green Line Trains – Regular daytime intervals: 12-20 minutes. Weeknights: Trains every 20 minutes.

        • Green Line Trains every 15-20 minutes between Branch Ave and Ft Totten only. West Hyattsville, Prince George’s Plaza, College Park-U of Md, and Greenbelt closed. Free shuttle buses provided.

    Local Bus Updates & Alerts: 

    • Effective immediately and until further notice, LocalLink routes 67, 71, and Citylink Silver will follow a detour for part of the bus route

    • Falls Road Light RailLink Station to Camden Light RailLink Station & Camden Yards Light RailLink Station to Falls Road Light RailLink Station stops will be utilized for the Light RailLink bus bridge during the summer maintenance and upgrades project

    Amtrak Updates

    • While some services were reduced or suspended, Amtrak has and will continue to operate as an essential service as our nation recovers. In addition to the Acela and Northeast Regional, trains will be restored to service by monitoring demand, working with state partners, and continuing to prioritize customer and employee safety.     • To protect customers and employees, all customers in stations and on trains and thruway buses are required to wear a facial covering. Facial coverings can be removed when customers are eating in designated areas, in their private rooms, or seated alone or with a travel companion in their own pair of seats. Small children who are not able to maintain a facial covering are exempt from this requirement. Passengers must supply their own facial covering.

    Virginia Railway Express Updates

    • Full Service has resumed since June 1st

      VRE is returning to the full-service schedule on Tuesday, June 1st.

      This means you’ll have the same options for your commute as you did prior to the pandemic-related reduction of service.
