MTA’s G Line Singal Modernization is finally entering phase 3. This means disruptions on the G Line are almost over and better service is a shining light at the end of the tunnel. The following service disruptions are scheduled for August 12 – September 3rd.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) reminded customers that Phase 3 of the signal modernization work on the line will begin at 4:00 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12 and continue through 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3. During this time G trains will not run between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Church Av. Free B93 shuttle bus service will run between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Jay St – MetroTech A C R where customers can transfer to the . trains will continue to make all stops between Bergen St and Church Av stations. With the completion of Phase 2, G service will be restored between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs.
Extensive shuttle bus service runs in place of the train service, with buses stopping at all G stations where service is suspended. During this time shuttle buses will make all skipped G stops and run as below:
Weekdays:
- Every 1 to 4 minutes in the morning, afternoon and evening.
- Every 5 to 10 minutes during late evening and overnight hours.
Saturdays:
- Every 3 to 5 minutes morning, afternoon, and evening.
- Every 5 to 10 minutes during late evening and overnight hours.
Sundays:
- Every 3 to 5 minutes morning, afternoon, and evening.
- Every 6 to 10 minutes during late evening and overnight hours.
