April Service Changes
- Trains Will Not Run Between Times Square and 74 St-Broadway, and N Â Trains Will Not Run Between 57 St-7 Av and 39 Av-Dutch Kills
- Additional Service to be Provided on E  and  Lines
- Long Island Rail Road to Honor NYC Transit Customers at Select Stations between Manhattan and Queens
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) announced upcoming service changes to enable ongoing accessibility upgrades at Queensboro Plaza, including the installation of new elevators, ADA boarding areas with new platform edges, a new ADA ramp on an enlarged mezzanine, modified pedestrian bridges, and ADA upgrades for existing street and station stairs.
Work began in September 2022 and is scheduled to continue through September 2024. The current phase of the work requires suspending  and  service between Queens and Manhattan from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, April 6 to 4:00 a.m. Monday, April 8 with other changes to service during that weekend in April.
Service Changes
trains
 trains will not run in either direction between 74 St-Broadway and Times Sq-42 St and will run in two sections:
• Between Flushing-Main St and 74 St-Broadway, every 8 minutes during the day and evening.
• Between Times Sq-42 St and 34 St-Hudson Yards, every 10 minutes during the day and evening and every 15 minutes overnight.
For service between Queens and Manhattan, riders are encouraged to use the LIRR between Flushing, Mets-Willets Point, Woodside, and Penn Station or Grand Central. The LIRR will accommodate subway riders at no additional cost between these stations. View LIRR schedules.
Riders can also transfer at 74 St-Broadway to E F R trains for service between Queens and Manhattan. New York City Transit will be running additional service on the E R Â lines during this work, with trains running every 8 minutes on each line during the day and evening.
For service between Grand Central-42 St and Times Sq-42 St, customers are advised to take the  42 St Shuttle, which will run at all times, including overnight.
In Queens, free shuttle buses will run in two sections: Q107 between 74 St-Broadway and Queens Plaza, making local  stops, and the Q93 between Queens Plaza and Vernon Blvd-Jackson Av.

• Between Coney Island-Stillwell Av and 57 St-7 Av and via the Q  line to/from 96 St, every 15 minutes during the day and evening.
• Between Astoria-Ditmars Blvd and 39 Av-Dutch Kills, every 12 minutes during the day and evening.
For service between Manhattan and Queens, customers can walk or take a free Q108 shuttle bus between 39 Av-Dutch Kills and Queens Plaza to transfer to/from E R Â trains. Customers can also walk between 39 Av-Dutch Kills and 36 St to transfer to/from R Â trains. Customers are advised to ask a station agent for a GO Ticket to transfer.
For 5 Av/59 St and Lexington Av/59 St, customers can take the F N Q  or the  at 5 Av/53 St or Lexington Av/53 St. during the day and evening or use nearby Lexington Av/63 St
 trains do not operate overnight, during which 5 Av/59 St and Lexington Av/59 St will be closed.

New York City Transit will be running additional service on the E R lines to accommodate riders from the N 7 Â lines. Trains will run every 8 minutes on each line during the day and evening.
