    WMATA: New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day
    Tuesday, December 31
    New Year’s Eve
    • Metrorail system will open at 5 a.m. with special late night service until 2 a.m. (early New Year’s Day) on a regular weekday schedule
    • Metrobus will operate on a regular schedule
    • MetroAccess subscription trips have been cancelled
    • Regular fares and parking fees will be in effect
    • No scheduled track work
    Wednesday, January 1
    New Year’s Day
    • Metrorail system will operate 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. on a Sunday schedule
    • Metrobus will operate on a Sunday schedule
    • MetroAccess subscription trips have been cancelled
    • Off-peak fares will be in effect and parking will be free at all Metro-operated facilities
    • No scheduled track work
    MTA: New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day

    LocalLink & CityLink Routes:  Sunday/Holiday Schedule on Jan. 1st.

    Metro SubwayLink:  Sunday/Holiday Schedule on Jan. 1st. (Metro Subway Link will operate one hour after the fireworks display Dec. 31st)

    Light RailLink:  Sunday/Holiday Schedule on Jan. 1st.(Light RailLink will operate one hour after the fireworks display Dec. 31st)

    MARC Train:  

    • December 31: “R” schedule on all three lines.
    • January 1st.  No Service

    Commuter Bus:

    • Tuesday, Dec 31st – we will operate an “S” schedule
    • Wednesday, Jan 1st – no service except the #201 will operate a Weekend/Holiday schedule

    Mobility Service: 

    Sunday/Holiday Schedule on Jan. 1st.  No subscription trips on New Year’s Day.
