MerseyRail
Wirral Line
Buses replace trains between Birkenhead North and New Brighton until Sunday 5 May due to platform upgrade work. Please note: Bicycles are not allowed on rail replacement bus services at any time, unless fully folded. On Monday 6th a normal service will run.
City Line
On Saturday 04 until Monday 06 May, trains between Liverpool – Wigan – Blackpool will run to an alternative timetable. This is due to Phase 9 of the platform upgrade work.
Phase 10 of the platform upgrade begun on the 27th April 2019. Therefore, trains from Liverpool will not stop at Overpool until the 15th June. Passengers travelling to Overpool from Liverpool are advised to travel to Ellesmere Port and remain on the train until it returns to Overpool. Passengers travelling to Ellesmere Port from Overpool should board any from train from Overpool towards Liverpool and change onto a Ellesmere Port bound train at Little Sutton.
Northern
Saturday from 11:55
- Buses will replace trains between Wigan North Western and Preston.
- Trains between Manchester Victoria and Buckshaw Parkway are extended to run to / from Blackpool North.
- Trains will be diverted via and calling at Bolton and Chorley.
Sunday
- Buses will replace trains between Wigan North Western and Preston.
- Trains will be diverted via and calling at Bolton and Chorley.
Monday until approximately 11:55
- Buses will replace trains between Wigan North Western and Preston.
- Trains between Manchester Victoria and Buckshaw Parkway are extended to run to / from Blackpool North.
- Trains will be diverted via and calling at Bolton and Chorley.
Virgin Trains
On Sunday only, trains between London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street are diverted between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street via Manchester Piccadilly and Newton-le-Willows. Replacement buses will run between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street via Runcorn
London Northwestern Railway
On Sunday, no trains will run between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street. Replacement buses will run between Crewe and Liverpool South Parkway. Customers should then use Merseyrail trains between Liverpool South Parkway and Liverpool to complete their journey
East Midlands Trains
Reduced train service to / from London St Pancras International from Saturday 4 to Monday 6 May
On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, a reduced East Midlands Trains service will operate to / from London St Pancras International. Trains will be retimed to run earlier or later than usual, with a few trains being partially or completely cancelled.
On Sunday, the 07:51 Derby to London St Pancras International service will be amended and will not call at Long Eaton. A replacement bus will run between Derby and East Midlands Parkway via Long Eaton, connecting with the train at East Midlands Parkway. Additionally, the 08:18 Sheffield to London St Pancras International service will be diverted after Chesterfield, not calling at Derby or Long Eaton. Two replacement buses will run, the first will run from Chesterfield to Derby and Long Eaton, the second will run from Derby to Long Eaton and East Midlands Parkway to connect with the train.
No trains to or from London Euston from Saturday 4 to Monday 6 May

TransPennine Express
Amended 21:00 Newcastle to Liverpool Lime Street service on Monday 6 Thursday 9 May
The 21:00 Newcastle to Liverpool Lime Street service will terminate at Manchester Victoria with a replacement coach provided forward to Newton-le-Willows, Lea Green and Liverpool Lime Street.
