Travel advice for getting to Etihad Stadium

Metrolink

Services every six minutes to the match.

A fast and frequent tram service runs straight to the stadium’s dedicated tram stop Etihad Campus.

Services run between Ashton-under-Lyne and Manchester run at six-minute intervals. The journey from Manchester Piccadilly station to the stadium takes less than 10 minutes.

After the game, trams will not serve Holt Town and Velopark until crowds have cleared from the Etihad Campus stop.

Bus

On match day, the 216 operates at an increased frequency and runs directly to the stadium. You’ll find the service at the north side of Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester city centre.

The 53, 76, 216, 217, 219, 230 and 231 bus services all serve the Etihad Stadium, most within a short stroll of the ground.

At the end of the game, shuttle buses head towards Manchester city centre. They will be lined up on Ashton New Road opposite the South Stand

Train

Manchester is well served by rail, so why not beat the matchday traffic and take the train! Ashbury’s is the closest station to the stadium and only a 15 minute walk. Journeys from Manchester Piccadilly only take 5 minutes.

The ground is also only a short walk (20 minutes) or Metrolink ride (10 minutes) from Piccadilly Station in the city centre
