π BMRCL Media Release: New Yearβs Eve 2026 Service Extension
To ensure safe and convenient travel for Namma Bengaluru during New Year celebrations, BMRCL is extending metro services on the Purple, Green, and Yellow lines into the early hours of January 1, 2026.

π’ Important Passenger Information
Frequency: From 11:30 PM, trains will run every 8 minutes (Purple/Green Lines) and every 15 minutes (Yellow Line).
MG Road Closure: MG Road Station will close for entry and exit at 10:00 PM. Please use Trinity or Cubbon Park stations.
Ticketing: Token sales at Trinity and Cubbon Park end at 11:00 PM. To avoid long queues, please use QR tickets or Smart Cards with sufficient balance.
