Public Transit Service During Passover 🚈🚠

Dear riders,

We have collected several transit changes that are worth getting to know about this week and towards Passover.

🚈 Rail service during Passover

Passover Eve, April 15, and 2nd Eve, Monday, April 21

  • Trains will operate between 06:00 and 15:00 (approximately) in an increased format, based on Friday schedules with additional service between Nahariya – Haifa – Tel Aviv – Ben Gurion Airport – Modi’in, as well as between Carmiel – Haifa – Tel Aviv stations – Beer Sheva
  • Between Haifa and Tel Aviv, the frequency of trains will be two trains per hour, in each direction

In addition, trains will operate on lines that operate on Fridays on the following lines:

  • Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Herzliya
  • Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Modi’in Center
  • Be’er Sheva – Ofakim – Netivot – Sderot – Ashkelon
  • Herzliya – Tel Aviv – Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan – Ashkelon
  • Beit She’an – Haifa Hof Hacarmel

Saturday, April 16th, and Monday, April 21st

  • Trains will operate between 21:00 and 24:00 (approximately) in an increased format, based on Saturday evening schedules, with additional service between Nahariya – Haifa – Tel Aviv – Ben Gurion Airport – Modi’in, as well as between Carmiel – Haifa stations – Tel Aviv – Beer Sheva
  • Between Haifa and Tel Aviv, the frequency of trains will be two trains per hour, in each direction

In addition, trains will operate on lines operating on Saturdays:

  • Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Herzliya
  • Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Modi’in Center
  • Beer Sheva – Ofakim – Netivot – Sderot – Ashkelon
  • Herzliya – Tel Aviv – Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan – Ashkelon
  • Beit She’an – Haifa Hof Hacarmel

During ‘Hol Ha’moed’, April 17-20, trains will operate on an increased weekday format.


🚈 Israel Railways: Reopening of the Sharon stations

Starting Friday (Passover Eve)Β  April 15, the Kfar Saba Nordau, Hod Hasharon Sokolov, and Raanana South stations will reopen for service.


🚠 The opening of the cable car (Rachbalit) in Haifa to the public

As of Monday, April 11, the cable car began its operations in Haifa. The cable car now operates between three stations: Merkazit HaMifratz,Β  Technion Central, and the University of Haifa, and every 15 seconds a trolley leaves the station.

Service hours of the cable car:

  • Sunday-Wednesday from 06:00 in the morning until 00:00
  • Thursday from 06:00 in the morning until 02:00 in the morningΒ 
  • Friday from 06:00 to 17:30
  • Saturday night from 20:30 to 00:00

🚍 Night Lines during Passover

During Passover, between April 10-20, all bus night lines will operate countrywide.Β 


Moovit is updated with the latest changes that are being published by the bus operators and the Ministry of Transportation.

We remind you, that in accordance with the Ministries of Health and Transportation guidelines, it is mandatory to wear a face mask on every ride and not use any public transportation line if having illness symptoms.
