We have collected for you several public-transit updates that are worth getting to know as well as countrywide rail changes and new lines in Jerusalem.
Rail service changes in Be’er Sheva area
As part of the rail tracks maintenance, work will be carried out to upgrade the track, in Kiryat Gat, Lehavim – Rahat, and Beer Sheva segments. As a result, there will be temporary changes in train service at the following times:
Thursday, July 29 starting at 11 pm, and during all service hours on Friday, July 30th.
Thursday, August 5, starting at 22:00 andΒ during all service hours on Friday, August 6, and Saturday evening, August 7.
Trains on the Be’er Sheva – Herzliya line (via Lod, Kiryat Gat, Lehavim Rahat stations, etc.) will operate between Herzliya and Kiryat Gat stations. There will be no service between Kiryat Gat, Lehavim Rahat, and Be’er Sheva stations.
During these days, free shuttles will operate between Kiryat Gat and Beer Sheva Central stations (via Lehavim Rahat station depending on demand) as following:

Train service will be renewed on Saturday night, July 31. The following week, train service will be renewed on Sunday, August 8.
Β Additional service at Beer Sheva and Dimona stationsΒ
Starting Sunday, August 1, train service between Be’er Sheva North and Dimona stations during the morning hours will be reactivated.
In addition, several routes will be extended and their final destination will be extended to Be’er Sheva Central Station instead of Be’er Sheva North Station. On other routes, trains will start their trip at the Be’er Sheva Central station instead of the Be’er Sheva North station.
Β Extended service hours on Beit She’an – Haifa line (Ha’emek Line)
Starting Sunday, August 1 until Tuesday, August 31, the service hours in Beit She’an – Haifa line will be extended in order to allow residents of the area to get around more easily during the summer.

Starting last week, ‘Superbus’ is the new bus operator of four existing service lines (136, 83, 82, 38), as well as a new touristic line (line 2), which will serve as a circular line from the Karta parking lot, via the Jewish Quarter and the Western Wall, to touristic sites in the Old City area.
The new line will be operated by accessible minibusses and will improve the access between the light rail station in Safra Square and the main touristic sites in the Old City and the Western Wall. The line will operate frequently and depart every 15 minutes.
The line will operate during weekdays (Sunday – Thursday) from 5:30 a.m. to midnight; Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to midnight; And on Saturday from one hour after the end of Shabbat until 00:45.
We remind you, that in accordance with the Ministries of Health and Transportation guidelines, it is mandatory to wear a face mask on every ride and not use any public transportation line if having illness symptoms.
