We have collected several public transit changes that are worth getting to know about this week.
Β Rail service changes in Haifa and the north
As part of maintenance works, on Friday, August 12, works will be carried out in the area of ββthe Hutsot Hamifratz station. Due to the works, trains on the following lines will not operate:
- Karmiel β Haifa Hof Hacarmel
- Nahariya β Haifa Hof Hacarmel
Β On this day, the following stations will be closed: Nahariya, Acre, Kiryat Motzkin, Kiryat Haim, Hutsot Hamifratz, Karmiel, and Ahihud.
Β Free shuttles will be operated between Karmiel > Ahihud > Kiryat Motzkin and Hamifratz Central Station.
Rail service will return to normal on Tuesday night, August 13.
Service Changes at Rehovot and Yavne West stations
As part of the preparations for the operation of the electric suburban line traveling between Netanya, Tel Aviv Lod, and Rehovot stations, and the expansion of the rail infrastructure in Rehovot, the following changes will apply from Sunday, August 14 until Thursday, August 18.
The segment between Rehovot and Ashdod stations will be closed.
Trains from Rehovot station to the north will be reduced from 2 to 1 per hour.Β
π§ Yavne West station – will be temporarily closed during the workdays
Β The following free shuttles will be operated:
From Ashdod to Rehovot station from 06:20 to 19:20 every hour
From Rehovot to Ashdod station from 07:10 to 20:10 every hour
From Yavne East to Yavne West station from 06:00 to 20:00 every hour, in both directions
Passengers at Ofakim, Netivot, and Sderot stations, who arrive at or depart from northern stations from Ashdod Ad Halom – will have to switch trains at Ashkelon or Ashdod Ad Halom during the days of the works.
