We have gathered all the upcoming railway transit changes that are important to know about this weekend:

Changes in Train Traffic in the Ashkelon Area, September 5-6, 2024
As part of the annual maintenance plan, infrastructure works will be carried out to maintain, upgrade, and replace track components in the area of Ashkelon station. Due to the works, changes will apply to train traffic in the Ashkelon area, starting from Thursday, September 5, 2024 until Friday, September 6, 2024 (inclusive).
- Ashkelon station will be temporarily closed to train traffic.
- Train traffic between the Ashkelon and Ashdod stations will be temporarily suspended.
Train traffic will return to normal on Saturday evening, September 7, 2024, upon the resumption of service.
A free shuttle service will be available for passengers, offering a direct shuttle between Ashkelon and Ashdod, as well as additional shuttles between Netivot, Sderot, Silver Junction, and Ashdod.

Changes in Train Traffic on the Coastal Railway Line (Haifa-Tel Aviv) Friday, September 6, 2024
As part of the annual maintenance plan, infrastructure works will be carried out to maintain, upgrade, and replace track components in the Beit Yehoshua station area. Due to the works, the following changes will apply to train traffic on Friday September 6, 2024 only.
Train traffic will return to normal on Saturday evening (September 7, 2024) upon the resumption of service.
- Trains on the Modi’in-Nahariya line will operate in a split format: between the Modi’in and Herzliya stations, and between the Netanya and Nahariya stations. Train number 139 will end its journey at Ben Gurion Airport station at 1:47 (instead of at Modi’in station).
- Trains on the Ben Gurion Airport-Nahariya line (the night trains between Thursday and Friday) will operate in a split format: between the Ben Gurion Airport and Herzliya stations, and between the Netanya and Nahariya stations. It will not be possible to travel continuously between Haifa and the northern stations to Tel Aviv. It will be possible to travel combined with buses.
- Trains on the Be’er Sheva Center-Nahariya line will operate in a split format: between the Be’er Sheva Center and Herzliya stations and between the Beit Yehoshua and Nahariya stations.
- Trains on the Ashkelon-Benyamina line will start their journey at Ashdod Ad-Halom station (instead of at Ashkelon station, due to works that will be carried out at the Ashkelon station) and end their journey at Herzliya station.
- Trains on the Beit Shemesh-Netanya line will operate between the Beit Shemesh and Herzliya stations only.
- Continuous travel between Tel Aviv and Haifa will not be possible. Passengers will be able to combine between travel by train and on shuttles.
The passengers are welcome to use the shuttle service, which will operate free of charge.
