Increase in Train Frequency Starting Sunday, 23.11.25
Israel Railways are upgrading train service and increasing train frequency at many stations.
Starting Sunday, 23.11.25, Sunday to Thursday:
- At the Raβanana, Hod HaSharon Sokolov, Kfar Sava Nordau, Rosh HaAyin North, Bnei Brak, Petah Tikva, Rishon LeTsiyon Moshe Dayan stations, train frequency will increase to four trains per hour in each direction during peak hours (approximately 6:00β9:30, 15:00β19:00).
During off-peak hours, train frequency at these stations will be two trains per hour in each direction. - Train frequency at the Holon Junction, Holon Wolfson, Bat Yam – Eli Cohen Yoseftal, and Bat Yam – HaKomemiyut stations will be three trains per hour in each direction during all peak hours.
- At the Ashkelon, Yavne East, and Ashdod Ad Halom stations, during morning and evening hours, one additional train will be added in each direction, allowing for shorter transfer times of just six minutes for passengers traveling between the Western Negev stations and Rehovot.
Additionally, there will be minor changes to train departure times at some stations.
Operation of Additional New Electric Trains
Alongside upgrading service at the Sharon Ring stations, Yavne West, and Rishon LeTsiyon Moshe Dayan, in the coming months, new high-capacity Siemens DDEMU electric trains will begin operating at these stations, each carrying up to approximately 2,000 passengers.
These trains have been integrated over the past year on other major lines, such as the Jerusalem line and the suburban line between Binyamina and Ashkelon, where they significantly improved service quality, punctuality, and passenger load management.
It is recommended to plan your trip in advance π₯. *There might be unexpected changes.*
