Transit Updates for Rosh Hashanah 2022

Rosh Hashanah is around the corner and we wish you a Happy New Year!🍯🍏

As always, we are here for you with the most updated public transit information.

Here are the expected changes that will be applied:

🚆Changes in Israel Railways service
👉 Rosh HaShana eve, Sunday, September 25

The passenger trains will operate between 06:00 and 15:00 (approximately) in an enhanced format, based on Friday schedules, plus a train service between Nahariya – Haifa – Tel Aviv – Ben Gurion Airport – Modi’in stations, as well as between Karmiel – Haifa – Tel Aviv – Be’er Sheva stations.

Between Haifa and Tel Aviv, the train frequency will be two trains every hour, in each direction.

On this day, the route of the line traveling between Netanya – Tel Aviv – Lod – Beit Shemesh stations will be extended. Trains on this line will start and end their journey at Hadera West station (instead of Netanya).

In addition, trains will operate on the lines operating every Friday:

  • Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Herzliya.
  • Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Modi’in Center.
  • Netanya – Tel Aviv – Rehovot.
  • Be’er Sheva – Ofakim – Netivot – Sderot – Ashkelon.
  • Herzliya – Tel Aviv – Moshe Dayan – Ashkelon.
  • Beit Shean – Haifa Hof HaKarmel (on this day, slight changes will apply to the departure times of the trains on this line).
👉 Rosh HaShana, Monday, September 26

Trains will not operate during this day.

👉 Motzei Rosh Hashana, Tuesday, September 27

Train traffic will operate in a normal night shift format. No trains will operate between Haifa and Tel Aviv.

The passenger trains will operate between 06:00 and 15:00 (approximately) in an enhanced format, based on Saturday schedules, plus a train service between Nahariya – Haifa – Tel Aviv – Ben Gurion Airport – Modi’in stations, as well as between Karmiel – Haifa – Tel Aviv – Be’er Sheva stations.

Between Haifa and Tel Aviv, the train frequency will be two trains every hour, in each direction.

On this day, the route of the line traveling between Netanya – Tel Aviv – Lod – Beit Shemesh stations will be extended. Trains on this line will start and end their journey at Hadera West station (instead of Netanya).

🚌 Changes in Bus service

On Rosh Hashana Eve, September 25, buses will operate in a holiday eve format.

On Rosh Hashanah, September 26, buses will not operate at all and will return operating on September 27 in the evening.

* In East Jerusalem and the Arab sector, the bus lines will operate as usual.


🚌 Superbus Lines

On Rosh Hashanah Eve, September 25, all the lines will operate on Friday’s schedule.

On Motzei Rosh Hashana, September 27, the lines will operate on Motzei Shabbat’s schedule.

On Monday Rosh Hashanah September 26, the lines will not operate, except for Matronit line 1.

Night lines in the valleys will only operate on the evening of September 27.

🚌 Metropolitan Lines 

During Rosh Hashana holidays, On September 25, & September 27, more departures will be added to lines 612, 613, 614 and 624.

🚌 Tnufa Lines 

More departures will be operated during the Rosh Hashana holidays.

On Rosh Hashana Eve, September 25:

  • Line 389 from Immanuel – 12:15, 14:00, 14:45.
  • Line 389 from Bnei Brak –  14:30.
  • Line 390 from Immanuel  – 12:00, 14:30.
  • Line 390 from Modi’in Illit  – 12:00, 14:30.
  • Line 391 from Immanuel – 12:00, 14:30.
  • Line 391 from Beitar – 12:00, 14:30.

On Motzei Rosh Hashana, September 27:

  • Line 389 from Immanuel  – 20:30, 21:20, 22:15, 23:30.
  • Line 389 from Bnei Brak – 20:30, 21:20, 22:15, 23:30.
  • Line 390 from Immanuel – 20:30, 21:15, 23:00, 00:15.
  • Line 390 from Modi’in Ilit- 20:30 , 21:15, 23:00, 00:15.
  • Line 391 from Immanuel – 20:30, 21:15, 23:15, 00:30.
  • Line 391 from Beitar- 20:30, 21:15, 23:15, 00:30.

 


🚌 Reminder for September 22, Thursday

A running event is happening between 17:30 to 22:00 in Tel Aviv. Sections of Rokah Boulevard and Shai Agnon Street will be closed to traffic and access to the Reding terminal will not be possible. The origin/destination station of bus lines will be temporarily moved to the Savidor terminal.

A show is happening between 19:00 until 02:00 at Live Park in Rishon Lezion. It will affect lines 6, 7, 8, 11, 21, 95, and the night lines 220, 221, 326, 425.
