San Diego Hot Chocolate Run, Sunday, March 19th

The Hot Chocolate Run will begin at 6:45 am. The race will stretch from East Village to Hillcrest. SDMTS will have several detours and service changes. Regular on-time bus service will resume at approximately 10 am.

Service Changes for SDMTS

Route 2:

MTS Route 2 will be impacted by the “Hot Chocolate Run” on Sunday, March 19th from 6:45 am thru 8:00 am. Southbound Route 2 bus stops on Broadway between the 11th and 25th will not be serviced. Passengers needing to connect with the southbound Route 2 can do so on the 25th at Broadway. Northbound Route 2 bus stops on Broadway between Park and 21st will not be serviced. Passengers needing to connect with the northbound Route 2 can do so on Broadway at Park or on Broadway at 22nd. After 8 am, service on Broadway will resume with possible minor delays until approximately 10:45 am.

Route 4:

Westbound Route 4 will be detoured off Imperial Ave between 14th and 20th from 6 am until 7:30 am if traffic causes major delays. In this case, the westbound bus stops on Imperial @ 19th (# 10871) and on Imperial @ 16th (#11258) will not be serviced.

Route 7:

Northbound Route 7 bus stops on Park @ B St and on University @ Alabama will be closed during the race. Passengers needing to connect with Route 7 (northbound) near Hillcrest can do so on Park @ University or on University @ Louisiana.

Route 10

Eastbound Route 10 bus stop on University @ Park will be closed. Passengers needing to connect with the eastbound Route 10 can do so at the Route 1 & 11 bus stop on northbound Park @ University.

Route 12

Westbound Route 12 will be detoured off Imperial Ave between 14th and 16th from 6am until 7:30am. No stops will be missed.

Route 215

MTS Route 215 will be impacted by the “Hot Chocolate Run” on Sunday, March 19th beginning at 6:30 am until approximately 8:45 am. No stops will be missed.

Route 225 & 235

MTS Routes 225 & 235 will be impacted by the “Hot Chocolate Run” on Sunday, March 19th from 6:15 am thru approximately 11:30 am. Bus stops (#10487) on ‘G’ @ 14th, (#88984) on ‘F’ St @ 14th, and (#99342) on Broadway @ Park will be out of service during these times. Passengers needing to connect with the Southbound Route 225 or Northbound Route 235 can do so on Broadway @ Park (City College Trolley Station).

Passengers are advised to expect delays and to plan accordingly.
