Thanksgiving Day Service by Agency
- Muni
- Muni will run Sunday service on Thanksgiving. The following weekday-only bus routes will not run: 8AX, 8BX, 9R, 714. All other routes will run a Sunday schedule and service will start at 8 a.m. instead of 5 a.m. Regular service will resume on Friday, November 24th. Supplemental school-day service will not run starting Wednesday, November 22nd, and will resume the Monday after Thanksgiving.
- BART
- BART will run a Sunday service schedule for Thanksgiving 2023. This means on Thursday, November 23, 2023, BART hours will be 8am-Midnight with all five lines running until 9pm, and three lines running from 9pm-midnight. Parking is free. Friday, November 24, 2023, will have a normal weekday service (5am-midnight).
- SamTrans
- SamTrans will operate Sunday service on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23rd, and will return to regular service on Friday, November 24th.
- AC Transit
- AC Transit will operate Sunday service on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23rd, and will return to regular service on Friday, November 24th.
- Caltrain
- Caltrain will operate Weekend service on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23rd, and will return to regular service on Friday, November 24th.
- VTA
- VTA will operate a Sunday/Holiday schedule. If your route does not operate on Sundays, it will not be in service. In addition, Route 500 will operate extended early morning service beginning at 5:30 a.m., and late evening service will end at 2:00 a.m. to accommodate BART’s Saturday schedule on Thanksgiving Day.On Friday, November 24th, VTA will operate a modified weekday schedule. All bus routes and light rail lines will provide regular weekday service, with the exception of Express routes. VTA Express routes 101, 102, 103, and 104 will not operate on Friday, November 24.

- Thanksgiving Day, November 23rd & Friday, November 24th

- Monterey-Salinas Transit
- Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) will provide a holiday bus service schedule on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23, 2023. Limited Holiday service will be available on the following bus lines:
JAZZ A Aquarium – Sand City via Hilby
JAZZ B Aquarium – Sand City via Broadway
Line 1 Monterey – Pacific Grove via Asilomar
Line 5 Monterey – Carmel Rancho
Line 20 Monterey – Salinas
Line 23 Salinas – King City
Line 41 Salinas – Alisal – Northridge
Line 49 Salinas – Santa Rita via North Main
- Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) will provide a holiday bus service schedule on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23, 2023. Limited Holiday service will be available on the following bus lines:
- Marin Transit
- Marin Transit will operate Sunday service on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23rd, and will return to regular service on Friday, November 24th.
- LAVTA Wheels
- On Thanksgiving, November 23rd, only routes 14, 15, 10R, and 30R operate, running a weekend schedule. Friday, November 24th, will operate weekend service.
- WestCat (Western Contra Costa)
- WestCat will operate Sunday service on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23rd, and will Saturday service on Friday, November 24th.
- Marin Airporter
- Marin Airporter will operate regular service on Thanksgiving Day.
- Capitol Corridor
- Capitol Corridor will operate Sunday service on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23rd, and will Saturday service on Friday, November 24th.
- The following agencies will have no service on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 23rd:
- County Connection
- Santa Cruz Metro (Friday, Nov. 24th – Weekend Service)
- SolTrans (Friday, Nov. 24th – No Service)
- Sonoma County Transit (Friday, Nov. 24th – Saturday Service)
- VINE Transit (Friday, Nov. 24th – Vine local routes (Routes A, B, C, D, E, F, and G, 10, and 11) operate on a Saturday schedule . Regional Routes 11X, 21, and 29 operate on their normal schedule.)
- Santa Rosa CityBus (Friday, Nov. 24th – Saturday Service)
- Dumbarton Express
- Commute.org Shuttles (Friday, Nov. 24th – No Service)
- Fairfield and Suisun Transit (FAST)
