Spring is in the air and summer is just around the corner! For all your fair weather activities, from Vashon to West Seattle, the King County Water Taxi is ready to help get you there!
The Water Taxi summer sailing schedule begins Saturday, April 12, and will run through Friday, October 10.
Midday service to Vashon Island, which began last July, will continue, allowing riders to enjoy summer day trips to the island.

Enjoy a 15-minute ride to West Seattle or a 22-minute sail from Vashon and take in the panoramic views of the Seattle city skyline and Mount Rainier on your way.
West Seattle Service
The seven-day-a-week service will run Monday through Thursday from approximately 6 a.m. weekdays (8:30 a.m. weekends) to 7 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, enjoy being out later with the return of late-night sailings through 11 p.m. Weekday sailings will leave the dock every 35 minutes during peak commute hours and every hour during the mid-day, and on weekends.

Ride free to and from the Water Taxi. Riders can take the free Metro water taxi shuttles to and from the dock at Seacrest Park, and between other destinations on the route. Route 773 will get you to the businesses and restaurants in the West Seattle junction. Route 775 takes you along Alki and into the Admiral District.
Vashon Service
The four roundtrip, midday sailings that started last July will continue with service Monday through Friday.
The expanded bus service on routes 118 and 119 will continue to support riders:

Bike and Pets:
- Bring your regular, electric, or “fat tire” bike on board for a ride along Alki or around Vashon
- Bring your cat or dog as long as they are leashed in in a carrier.
Water Taxi Fare:
- Adult fare to West Seattle is $5.75 one way ($5 with an ORCA card).
- Fares to Vashon are $6.75 for adults ($5.75 with an ORCA card).
