Service Between Masjid Jamek and Sentul Timur Suspended from 2nd April

April 25, 2023

It Comes After the Last Working Train at Sentul Timur Degradated Nearing Unfit For Service

After the 4 trains assigned to the section that was cut off from the rest of the line since the civil structure failure near Bandaraya Station in late January, the train could not access routine maintenance at the workshop located at Putra Heights. As a result, the 4 train had thrown in the white towel and became unfit for passenger service.

Hence the services between Masjid Jamek and Bandaraya will be suspended from 2nd April onward to prevent prolonged degradation to the trainsets and as a safety precaution for the passengers.

    More Rail Replacement Bus Activated

On top of LRT11 which currently serves all stations (except Sultan Ismail) from Sentul Timur to Bandaraya, Limited Stop LRT13 & LRT14 will be activated. Service LRT13 will connect passengers between Masjid Jamek to Sentul & Sentul Timur, while LRT14 will connect passengers between Masjid Jamek to Titiwangsa. The existing service LRT11 will also be extended to LRT Masjid Jamek.

LRT9 and LRT10 that run between Masjid Jamek to Bandaraya and Hang Tuah to Bandaraya will be deactivated.
