Service Changes and Updates

All trains:

The subway will be closed each night between 1 AM and 5 AM while MTA staff cleans and disinfects trains and stations.

2 Train

May 11 – 15, Mon to Fri, 9:30 PM to 1 AM
1, 3, N, R trains, and the Bx19 will replace the 2 between 149 St-Grand Concourse and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr because of station improvements.
2 service will run between 241 St and 149 St-Grand Concourse, via the 4 to/from Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr, and make regular stops to/from Flatbush Av.
Bx19 buses connect 149 St-Grand Concourse and the 145 St 3 station

3 Train

May 11 – 14, Mon to Thu, beginning 9:30 PM 3 service will end early between Times Sq-42 St and New Lots Av because of station improvements. Take the 1, 2, 4, and/or R.
3 service will run between 148 St and Times Sq-42 St. Take the 1 for service between Times Sq-42 St and South Ferry.
For Park Pl, Fulton St, Wall St, Clark St, Borough Hall, and Hoyt St, take the 2 to/from nearby 4 stations, or, use nearby N/R stations via transfer at Times Sq-42 St 1/3 or Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr 2/4/N/R.
For Brooklyn, take the 4.
An out-of-system transfer is available between South Ferry 1 and Bowling Green 4 stations (see booth agent for transfer ticket).

4 Train

NIGHTS
May 11 – 14, Mon to Thu, beginning 9:30 PM
4 service will replace the 3 between Nevins St and New Lots Av because of station improvements.
DAY
May 12, Tuesday, 9:45 AM to 3 PM
New Lots Av-bound 4 service will skip 176 St, Mt Eden Av, 170 St, 167 St, and 161 St-Yankee Stadium because of urgent track repairs.
Downtown 4 service is skipping 138 St-Grand Concourse through Summer 2020.

5 Train

May 11 – 14, Mon to Thu, beginning 8 PM
5 service will end early between E 180 St and Bowling Green because of station rehabilitation.
Take the 2 and/or 4.

L Train

May 12 – 15, Tue to Fri, 12:01 AM to 1 AM
L trains will run every 20 minutes because of communications improvements.

Q Train

May 12 – 15, Tue to Fri, 12:01 AM to 1 AM
Q trains will run via the R in both directions between DeKalb Av and Canal St because of track replacement.
Trains will stop at Jay St-MetroTech, Court St, Whitehall St, Rector St, Cortlandt St, and City Hall.
Please allow for additional travel time.

B17 Bus

Planned work May 14, Thursday, 6 AM to 6 PM
B17 buses may experience delays due to road work on Remsen Av at Avenue D

BM2 & BM3 Buses

BM2 and BM3 buses are detoured because of DOT milling on 23 St between Park Av and 5 Av.
While detoured, buses will skip stops at East 23 St & Park Av. in both directions.

B3 Bus

May 15, Friday, 6 AM to 6 PM
B3 buses are detoured between Avenue U at E 57 St and Mill St due to road work
Buses will make stops on Avenue T in both directions.
Missed stops:
– Avenue U at E 57 St (Bergen Beach-bound)
– Avenue U at E 59 St (both directions)
– Avenue U at Mill St (both directions)

M9 Bus

From 7 PM Sat, May 16 until 6 AM Sun, May 17
M9 – Kips Bay-bound buses are detoured from Warren St at Church St to Broadway due to a crane operation
Buses will make stops along Chambers St.
Detour Details
– Via Warren St
– Left on Church St
– Right on Chambers St
– Right on Broadway then regular route

M66 Bus

May 16 – 17, Sat and Sun, 6 AM to 9 PM
M66 – West End Av-bound buses are detoured from 67 St at York Av to 1 Av due to a crane operation
Buses will drop off and pick up customers at the nearby M31 stop on York Av between 67 St and 66 St.
Detour Details
– Via York Av
– Right on 66 St
– Right on 1 Av
– Left on 67 St then regular route

Danbury

Effective Saturday, May 16, 2020, substitute busing will replace all trains on the Danbury Branch.

Harlem

On Friday, May 15, 2020, Harlem Line service between Southeast and Wassaic stations will be suspended for one day to accommodate the Patterson Bridges Replacement Project.
There will be no train or substitute busing during this time.
Harlem Line trains will operate between Southeast and Grand Central Terminal on an hourly schedule. Service will resume on Monday, May 18, 2020.
