🚧 Immediate Disruptions & Roadworks (Happening Now)

June 22, 2026
    πŸ“ Bristol Area
    • College Green & Anchor Road Closure: A major two-night closure is scheduled from 21:00 to 05:30 on Wednesday 24 June and Thursday 25 June. This will heavily impact evening bus networks heading towards the city centre.

    • Victoria Street Closure: Victoria Street is closed northbound in the city centre. Route 2/2a and other services are currently diverting via Temple Way and Counterslip until further notice.

    • Glass Wharf Stop Suspension: The Glass Wharf bus stop on Avon Street (near Temple Meads) is completely suspended in both directions. Buses are currently diverting via Midland Road and Silverthorne Lane.

    πŸ“ Bath Area
    • The Manvers Street Closure: This is a massive, long-term disruption in Bath city centre that will remain in place until November 2026.

      • Route 2: Diverted into the city centre via Rossiter Road and Churchill Bridge, completely missing out North Parade and Manvers Street.

      • Route 3: Severely cut short. It is currently only running between Bathford and the City Centre. It will not serve the section between the city centre and Weston.

      • Route 4: Running extra buses between Weston and the Bus Station only to maintain passenger capacity over the section lost by Route 3.

      • Route 13: Also heavily impacted and diverted due to the Manvers Street closure.

    πŸš†Rail
Extreme Heat Speed Restrictions (Monday & Tuesday)

A Met Office extreme heat warning has forced Network Rail and Great Western Railway (GWR) to implement emergency heat speed restrictions on tracks.

    • The Impact: Because high rail temperatures risk track buckling, trains must run significantly slower.

    • Affected Areas: This is mostly causing short-notice cancellations, delays, and amended timetables on routes heading East out of the South West through the Thames Valley corridor toward London Paddington.
