Effective January 8, 2024, STM is introducing strategic enhancements to the 439 Express Pie-IX line, Henri-Bourassa/Lacordaire route, and 69 Gouin bus line. These changes aim to optimize services, respond to commuter needs, and enhance overall transit efficiency in the northern region of the city.
439 Express Pie-IX: Laval Route
As of January 8, 2024, service hours for the Laval route will see an extension in both directions:
- Monday to Friday: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
No changes will be implemented for the route to Laval.
439 Express Pie-IX: Henri-Bourassa/Lacordaire Route
Starting January 8, 2024, weekend service hours for the Henri-Bourassa/Lacordaire route will be extended in both directions:
- Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Service hours on weekdays will remain unchanged.
The route will undergo simplification to enhance accessibility to the Pie-IX BRT from the core of Montréal-Nord:
- Northbound: Extended from Lacordaire to Maurice-Duplessis, concluding at Cégep Marie-Victorin.
- Southbound: The route commences at Cégep Marie-Victorin, running along Maurice-Duplessis to Lacordaire.
69 Gouin Bus Line
The 69 Gouin bus line will undergo modifications to better distribute bus services along key corridors, providing more frequent and continuous service on Henri-Bourassa, east of Lacordaire:
- Eastbound: The line will run on Henri-Bourassa to Langelier, before concluding at Cégep Marie-Victorin.
- Westbound: The line continues to depart from Cégep Marie-Victorin, proceeding on Henri-Bourassa from Langelier.
