Subway and Rail updates- MBTA

There will be no service at Silver Hill, Hastings, Porter Square or North Station.
Porter Square passengers may connect to the Red Line for travel to or from Boston.
Shuttle buses are free and accessible but bikes will not be allowed on board buses.There will be 2 bus options:
-one express service between Alewife and South Acton
-one service making all local stops between Alewife and Littleton
Please note that additional weekdays may be added to the bus diversion as work progresses on the Fitchburg Line.
There is no weekend service on the Fitchburg Line.Affected stops:

Alternative travel option to or from Walpole, Windsor Gardens, Norwood Central, Norwood Depot, Islington and Dedham Corp. Center:
MBTA Bus #34E On Washington Street (Main Street at Walpole) for a connection with the Orange Line at Forest Hills.
For service to and from Readville, please consider the Fairmount Line.
For service to and from Ruggles and Back Bay, please consider the Orange Line

-Alternative travel option to or from South Weymouth:
–MBTA Bus #226 at Colombian Squate (2 miles from South Weymouth Station) for a Red Line connection at Braintree.-Alternative travel option to or from East Weymouth:
–MBTA Bus #222 to Quincy Center for a connection with the Red Line.-Alternative travel option to or from Weymouth Landing/East Braintree:
–MBTA Bus #225 or #226 to Quincy Center for a connection with the Red Line.
-For service to and from Braintree, Quincy Center and JFK/UMass, please consider the Red Line.
-As alternate options for all other stations on the Kingston/Plymouth & Greenbush Lines, passengers may consider to drive to a Middleborough Line station for service to Boston on weekends.

For weekend service between Haverhill and North Station, consider the Amtrak Downeaster. 4 round trips options on Saturdays and Sundays.

Alternative options to or from Haverhill:
MVRTA network connects Haverhill to Newburyport. From Haverhill Station, board Bus #01 or #16 to Washington Square Transit Center (or walk for 0.3 miles) and board Bus #51 to Nicholas J. Costello Transportation Center, Amesbury. From there, connection to Bus #54 for Newburyport Station.

MVRTA also provides service to Lowell:
Board Bus #1 from Washington Square Transit Center to Buckley Transportation Center for a connection with Bus #41 to Lowell.

Other options on the Haverhill Line:
MBTA Bus #136 and Bus #137 connect Reading, Wakefield, Greenwood, Melrose Highlands, Melrose/cedar Park and Wyoming Hill station to the Orange Line at Malden Center.

-Alternative travel option to or from South Weymouth:

This construction is part of the South Shore Parking Garages Improvements and Renovations Project. The pedestrian bridge will be replaced by a new garage lobby featuring elevators and stairwells.Affected routes:

MVRTA Bus #41 provides service to Buckley Transportation Center (Lawrence) for connection to Haverhill (MVRTA Bus #1) and Andover stations. Please note, on weekends, no train service operates on the Haverhill Line).
LRTA Bus #13 (Billerica via Edson) provides service to North Billerica and then connects to MBTA BUS #350 at Burlington for a connection to the Red Line at Alewife.
LRTA also provides a shuttle bus pilot that departs Gallagher Terminal at 6:30 am on Saturdays and connects with MBTA Bus #350 at Burlington for service to Alewife
LRTA Bus #12 (Tewksbury via Route 38) provides service to Wilmington.-Alternative travel option to or from Anderson/Woburn Station:
MBTA Bus #134 @ 1075 Main St. for connection to the Orange Line at Wellington on Saturdays ONLY-Alternative travel options to or from Wedgemere:
MBTA Bus #134 at Main st. @ Madison Ave. West for connection to the Orange Line at Wellington
MBTA Bus #350 at Cambridge st. @ Myopia Rd for connection to the Red Line at Alewife.

MBTA Bus #95 at Playstread Rd. @ Irving St. W Medford Station for connection to the Orange Line at Sullivan Square.
