Service changes during Sukkot and Simchat Torah 🌿

Dear riders,

We have collected several public transit changes that will take place during Sukkot and Simchat Torah 🌾🍋🌿.


🚉 Changes in Israel Railways service

Eve of Sukkot, Monday, 6.10.25, and the conclusion of the Holiday, Tuesday, 7.10.25 | Second Holiday Eve, Hoshana Rabbah, Monday, 13.10.25, and the conclusion of the second Holiday, Simchat Torah, Tuesday, 14.10.25:

  • Passenger trains will operate in an enhanced format, based on the Friday and Saturday night timetables, with the addition of increased service on the Haifa–Tel Aviv line, with two trains per hour (instead of one per hour), as well as the operation of train service on the Be’er Sheva–Dimona line.
  • In addition, at the conclusion of the Holidays, night trains will run from Nahariya to Ben Gurion Airport (instead of from Binyamina).

Sukkot Intermediate Days (Chol HaMoed), Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, October 8, 9, and 12, 2025:

  • Train No. 9030 will be extended, and it will begin its journey at Be’er Sheva Center station at 09:41 and end its journey at Haifa Center HaShmona station (instead of Tel Aviv Savidor Center).
  • Train No. 9037 will be extended, and it will begin its journey at 14:02 at Haifa Center HaShmona station (instead of Tel Aviv Savidor Center) and end its journey at Be’er Sheva Center station.
  • Passenger trains will operate between Haifa Merkaz HaShmona and Haifa East stations for the attendees of the Sukkot event at the Israel Railway Museum.

Preparations for the October 7 Memorial Event

On Tuesday, October 7, 2025 (the night after Sukkot), a memorial event for the October 7 incidents will take place at Yarkon Park, near the Tel Aviv University – Expo train station.

Due to expected demand and to ensure safety for attendees and reduce traffic congestion in the area, four additional trains will operate in addition to the regular service.


🚌 Changes in Bus service 

👉 On the eve of Sukkot (Monday, October 6th) and the eve of Simchat Torah (Monday, October 13th), bus lines will will follow the Friday schedule.

👉 On the evenings following Sukkot (Tuesday, October 7th) and Simchat Torah (Tuesday, October 14th), bus lines will operate according to the Saturday night schedule.


🚍 Travel with Naim Busofash and Sababus Ramat Gan

The Naim Busofash lines (Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality) and the Sababus lines (Ramat Gan Municipality) will operate during Sukkot in addition to the regular weekend service.

Naim Busofash weekend service will run during Sukkot following the usual weekend schedule:

  • Sukkot, First Holiday: October 6–7, 2025 (Monday–Tuesday)

  • Sukkot, Second Holiday / Simchat Torah: October 13–14, 2025 (Monday–Tuesday)

Sababus Ramat Gan:

  • Monday, October 6 – from 16:45 (first bus departure) until 02:30 (last bus departure).

  • Tuesday, October 7 – from 08:30 (first bus departure) until 19:00 (last bus departure).

Moovit is updated with the latest changes that are being published by the bus operators and the Ministry of Transportation.
