Service changes during Sukkot and Simchat Torah

Sukkot holidays

Dear riders,

We have collected several public transit changes that will take place during Sukkot and Simchat Torah 🌾🍋🌿.


🚉 Changes in Israel Railways service

Sukkot Eve, Friday, 29.09.23 | Sukkot, Saturday, 30.09.23 | Simchat Torah Eve, Friday, 06.10.23 | Simchat Torah, Saturday, 07.10.23:

On Sukkot Eve and Simchat Torah Eve, trains will operate between 06:00-15:00, and on the the evening after the holiday (Sukkot 30.09 & Simchat Torah 07.10) between 21:00-00:00, in a reinforced format based on weekends schedules. This is in addition to a high-frequency train service of two trains every hour (instead of one every hour) on the Haifa-Tel Aviv line. Additionally, there will be train services at Be’er Sheva, Ofakim, Netivot, Sderot, and Dimona stations.

🚌 Changes in Bus service 

👉 On Sukkot Eve (29.09) and Simchat Torah Eve (06.10) – bus lines will operate in a Friday schedule.

👉 On Sukkot (30.09) and Simchat Torah (07.10) – bus lines will operate in a Saturday night schedule.


🚋 Changes in Light Rail service in Jerusalem

In honor of Sukkot, Cfir is increasing the light rail services frequency for the benefit of expected visitors and passengers in Jerusalem.

Between Sunday to Thursday, 01-05.10.23, an enhanced and adjusted service will be provided:

👉 Between 06:00-09:00, trains frequency will be every 10 minutes.

👉 Between 09:00-22:00, rains frequency will be every 6 minutes.

👉 Between 22:00-00:00, trains frequency will be every 10 minutes.


🚌 Kavey Layla (Night bus lines)

👉 Night lines will operate during Chol HaMoed, from Sunday to Thursday, 01-05.10.23, every day.

👉 In addition, the lines will also operate on Saturday nights and holidays without any changes.


Moovit is updated with the latest changes that are being published by the bus operators and the Ministry of Transportation.
