Bus stop closures
From 20 August, selected bus stops have been closed to improve traffic flow in the South East during the construction of CBD and South East Light Rail.
Along Anzac Parade, two citybound bus stops and three outbound bus stops have been closed.
On Cleveland Street in Surry Hills, six bus stops have been closed.
There will be signage at closed bus stops to guide to the nearest alternative stop. Bus stop closures are indicated on the map below.
Anzac Parade lane closures
As of 19 August, two lanes have been closed (one in each direction) on Anzac Parade between Barker and Rainbow streets, with buses joining regular traffic.
Citybound bus services during morning peak (from 7am to 9am, Monday to Friday) will continue to use the separated Moore Park busway.
CBD and South East Light Rail
The 12-kilometre CBD and South East Light Rail will link Circular Quay with Randwick and Kingsford via George Street and Central with major construction complete by 2018, and the first services carrying passengers in early 2019.
