Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
City Circle🏙
Monday 2 to Thursday 5 December
- Nightly from 9.45pm until 2am, trains run around the City Circle in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
T1 North Shore Line
Wednesday 4 December
- From 11.40am until 2pm, some trains run to a changed timetable, running up to 5 minutes later than the normal timetable.
Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December
- Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
- From 11pm Saturday until 5.30am Sunday, buses replace all trains between Central and Lidcombe.
T1 Western Line
Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 December
- Nightly from 9.40pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Richmond and Blacktown.
- Nightly from 11.55pm until 2am, buses replace all trains from Parramatta to Blacktown and Penrith.
Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December
- Penrith trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at Homebush, Burwood, Croydon, Ashfield and Newtown.
- Richmond trains run between Richmond and Olympic Park only.
- From 11pm Saturday until 5.30am Sunday, buses replace all trains between Lidcombe and Central.
T2 Inner West and Leppington Line✈️
Monday 2 to Thursday 5 December
- Nightly from 9.45pm until 2am, some trains from the City run to a changed timetable.
Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December
- The all-stations Homebush trains will not run.
- From 11pm Saturday until 5.30am Sunday, buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Central.
T3 Bankstown Line
Monday 2 to Thursday 5 December
- Nightly from 10.20pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Bankstown and Sydenham.
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line
Monday 2 to Thursday 5 December
- Nightly from 10.50pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Sutherland and Hurstville.
Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December
- Some trains may run to a changed time table due to trackwork between Hurstville and Wolli Creek.
T5 Cumberland Line
Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 December
- Nightly from 9.40pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Richmond and Blacktown.
- Nightly from 11.55pm until 2am, buses replace all trains between Richmond and Parramatta.
T8 Airport & South Line
Monday 2 to Thursday 5 December
- Nightly from 9.45pm until 2am, trains start and end at Central.
Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December
- Extra trains run between Kingsgrove and the City via Sydenham.
T9 Northern Line
Wednesday 4 December
- From 10.40am until 2pm, some trains run to a changed timetable, running up to 10 minutes later than the normal timetable.
Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December
- Trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at Burwood, Ashfield, then all stations to Redfern.
- From 11.15pm Saturday to 5.30am Sunday, buses replace all trains between Strathfield and Central.
Blue Mountains Line 🛤
Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 December
- Daily from 12.10am until 2am, buses replace the 00:18 Central to Lithgow service from Central to Penrith.
Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December
- Some trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
- From 11pm Saturday until 5.30am Sunday, buses replace all trains between Strathfield and Central.
- On Sunday the 04:24 Central to Lithgow service will run 35 minutes later than the normal timetable, and start from Strathfield at 05:12.
Central Coast & Newcastle Line
Monday 2 to Thursday 5 December
- Nightly from 8.45pm until 1.15am, buses replace trains from Newcastle Interchange to Morisset.
- Nightly from 10.10pm until 3am, buses replace trains from Morisset and Newcastle Interchange.
Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December
- Some trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
- On Sunday the 04:50 Central to Newcastle Interchange service will run 35 minutes later than normal, and start from Strathfield at 05:38.
Hunter Line
Wednesday 4 December
- Buses replace the 08:14 and 10:09 trains between Maitland and Muswellbrook.
- The 10:29 Newcastle Interchange to Telarah service will end at Maitland.
South Coast Line
Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December
- Some trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Hurstville and Wolli Creek.
