Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
City Circle trackwork 🏙
Monday 29 April to Thursday 2 May
- Nightly from 11.30pm until 4am, trains run in one direction from Central first stop Town Hall.
- Some City Circle trains run to a changed timetable and leave from different platforms.
Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May
- Buses replace trains between Central and Wynyard via Museum
- T1 North Shore Line, T1 Northern and some T1 Western and T2 Inner West Line trains continue to stop at Town Hall and Wynyard.
T1 North Shore Line
From 28 April services on the T1 North Shore Line have been adjusted and more services delivered to support the opening of Sydney Metro
T1 Western & Richmond Line
From 28 April minor adjustments have been made to services on the T1 Western Line to support the opening of Sydney Metro.
Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May
- Richmond trains run between Richmond and Olympic Park only. If you are travelling to or from the City please change at Parramatta.
- Trackwork on the City Circle may also affect how you trave
T2 Inner West and Leppington Line✈️
Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May
- Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield, and the all-station trains between Ashfield and Central.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Macarthur, Glenfield and North Sydney via Granville.
- Buses also replace the T8 Airport & South LIne trains between Glenfield and Sydenham
T3 Bankstown Line
Tuesday 30 April to Friday 2 May
- Nightly from 10pm until 4am, buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Bankstown.
Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May
- Trains run between Lidcombe or Liverpool and Sydenham only
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line
Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May
- All Cronulla trains and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at Erskineville and St Peters
T5 Cumberland Line
Monday 29 April and Wednesday 1 May
- Nightly from 11.30pm until 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Granville and between Granville and Leppington only.
Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May
- Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield, then continue to Liverpool.
- Trains run to the normal timetable between Liverpool and Quakers Hill
T8 Airport & South Line
Monday 29 April to Thursday 2 May
- Nightly from 11.30pm until 4am, some trains start and end at Central platform 23.
- You may need to change trains at Central to complete your journey.
Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May
- Buses replace trains between Glenfield and Sydenham, and between Sydenham and Central via the Airport.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Macarthur and North Sydney via Granville
T9 Northern Line
From 28 April the T1 Northern Line has been renamed the T9 Northern Line. There are minor adjustments to services on this line to support the opening of Sydney Metro.
Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May
- Trains run to a changed timetable, making an extra stop at Croydon
- Trackwork on the City Circle may affect how you travel.
Blue Mountains Line 🛤
From 28 April minor adjustments have been made to service times on the Blue Mountains Line
Central Coast & Newcastle Line ⛺
From 28 April minor service adjustments have been made on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line
Hunter Line
From 28 April services on the Hunter Line have been adjusted to provide better weekday connections between Newcastle and Dungog.
