Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
Metro
Saturday 12 to Monday 14 June
- No trackwork scheduled on the metro, but trackwork on the T9 Northern Line may affect how you travel.
- If you are travelling to the City change at Chatswood, not Epping, for a direct train via the T1 North Shore Line.
City Circle
Monday 7 to Wednesday 9 June
- Nightly from 11.40pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Central and Circular Quay via Museum.
- The light rail runs between Central, Town Hall, Wynyard and Circular Quay.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line trains continue to stop at Central, Town Hall and Martin Place.
T1 North Shore Line
Monday 7 to Wednesday 9 June
- Nightly from 11.50pm until 1.30am, trains run between Berowra and Wynyard only, due to City Circle trackwork.
- Change at Wynyard for the light rail to Circular Quay, Town Hall or Central.
Saturday 12 to Monday 14 June
- Buses replace trains between Berowra and Gordon.
- Trackwork also affects T9 Northern Line trains.
- From 11pm Monday, trains run between Gordon and Wynyard only. Buses replace trains between Central and Strathfield.
T1 Western Line
Monday 7 to Wednesday 9 June
- Nightly from 11.50pm until 1.30am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12, due to City Circle trackwork.
- Buses replace City Circle trains between Central and Circular Quay via Museum.
- Trains make extra stops at Homebush.
Saturday 12 to Monday 14 June
- Trains run between Emu Plains or Penrith and the City.
- From 11pm Monday, trains run to a changed timetable between Emu Plains or Penrith and Ashfield only, making an extra stop at Homebush.
- Buses replace all trains between Ashfield and Central.
- If you are travelling to the City change at Lidcombe for trains via Bankstown, or change at Strathfield for express buses to Central.
T2 Inner West & Leppington Line
Monday 7 to Wednesday 9 June
- Nightly from 11.30pm until 1.30am, buses replace the all-stations Homebush trains between Strathfield and Central.
- Trains run between Fairfield and Central, platforms 1-12 only.
- Buses replace trains between Central and Circular Quay via Museum.
- T1 Western Line Penrith trains make extra stops at Homebush.
Monday 7 to Thursday 10 June
- Nightly from 9.40pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Leppington and Fairfield.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Fairfield and the City via Granville.
- T8 Airport & South Line trains run between Macarthur, Glenfield and the City via the Airport.
- Buses also replace T3 Bankstown Line trains between Liverpool and Villawood.
Monday 14 June
- From 10.45pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central.
- Trains run between Leppington and Strathfield only. T1 Western Line trains run between Penrith and Ashfield.
- If you are travelling to the City change at Lidcombe for trains via Bankstown, or change at Strathfield for express buses to Central. All-stations buses leave from Ashfield.
T3 Bankstown Line
Monday 7 to Thursday 10 June
- Nightly from 9.40pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Liverpool and Villawood.
- Buses also replace T2 Inner West & Leppington Line trains between Leppington and Fairfield.
- On Monday to Wednesday, nightly from 11.40pm, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12, due to City Circle trackwork.
- On Friday, buses replace selected morning services.
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line
Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 June
- Daily from 5.30am until 11am, trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
- Some trains start or end at Hurstville or Sutherland.
- On Sunday from 12pm until 3pm, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make an extra stop at Arncliffe.
- Buses run between Wolli Creek and Sydenham, and between Wolli Creek and Arncliffe.
T5 Cumberland Line
Monday 7 to Thursday 10 June
- Nightly from 9.40pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Leppington and Fairfield.
- Some trains run to a changed timetable between Fairfield and Schofields or Richmond.
- On Tuesday and Wednesday from 11.50pm, some trains start and end at Granville or Olympic Park.
T8 Airport & South Line
Monday 7 to Wednesday 9 June
- Nightly from 11.30pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Sydenham and Central via the Airport.
- Trains run between Macarthur and Central, platforms 1-12, via Sydenham.
- Buses replace City Circle trains between Central and Circular Quay via Museum.
- On Wednesday from 12.15am until 2.30am, buses replace some trains from Sydenham to Macarthur, in that direction only.
T9 Northern Line
Monday 7 to Wednesday 9 June
- Nightly from 11.50pm until 1.30am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12, due to City Circle trackwork.
Saturday 12 to Monday 14 June
- Buses replace trains between Hornsby and Strathfield.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Strathfield and the City.
- From 11pm Monday, buses also replace trains between Strathfield and Central.
Blue Mountains Line
Monday 7 to Thursday 10 June
- Nightly from 7.30pm until 11.30pm, buses replace trains from Lithgow to Springwood.
- Nightly from 8.30pm until 3am, buses replace trains from Springwood to Lithgow.
- Trains run between Springwood and Central, some to a changed timetable.
Friday 11 June
- From 10pm until 2am, trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Strathfield only.
- T1 Western, T2 Inner West & Leppington and T9 Northern Line trains run between Strathfield and Central.
Saturday 12 to Monday 14 June
- Trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown only.
- T1 Western Line trains run between Blacktown and Central.
- Bathurst trains run between Bathurst and Strathfield only, some to a changed timetable.
- From 11pm Monday, buses replace all trains between Strathfield and Central.
Central Coast & Newcastle Line
Friday 11 June
- From 10pm until 2am, trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Strathfield only.
- T1 Western, T2 Inner West & Leppington and T9 Northern Line trains run between Strathfield and Central.
Saturday 12 to Monday 14 June
- Buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Central.
Hunter Line
Wednesday 9 June
- Buses replace selected services between Maitland and Muswellbrook.
- Trains run to the normal timetable between Newcastle Interchange and Maitland.
Saturday 12 to Monday 14 June
- Buses replace trains between Scone, Dungog and Newcastle Interchange.
- Limited buses also run directly between Scone or Maitland and Central.
South Coast Line
Friday 11 June
- From 10pm until 2am, trains start and end at Bondi Junction.
Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 June
- Daily from 5.30am until 11am, some trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops between Sutherland and Hurstville.
- On Sunday from 12pm until 3pm, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make extra stops at Arncliffe and Sydenham.
- Buses run between Wolli Creek and Sydenham, and between Wolli Creek and Arncliffe.
Southern Highlands Line
Sunday 13 June
- Buses replace selected services between Campbelltown and Moss Vale.
